    Becoming a moderator will allow myself to provide a friendly and approachable character within the community who can deal with issues and enforce rules on the server to encourage and promote gameplay and RP within the servers player base.
  • Do you understand that as a member of the Staff Team, your position may be subject to change and / or termination should you not be performing to the degree stipulated? Do you also understand that a staff role is one that comes with the expectation of commiting time to helping the users of the server (Up to 20 hours a week)?

  • A user is RDMing and insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do?


    Firstly, I would Noclip to a private area of the ISD by using !administrate, and then bring the individual to my location and freeze them (!tpjail or !bring). Once there I would then interrogate the user on their perspective of the events, whilst confirming any actions described through the use of !logs. If any secondary perpetrators where involved I would !bring them to the sit and ask them for their side of the story. Once a detailed story has been produced by comparing all sides of the event I would hand out !warns/!bans/!kicks where necessary based on the information from individuals’ explanations and with the evidence from !logs. upon completion of the sit, I would !return the individuals and encourage them to continue playing.
  • A user has contested a warn you have given him and proceeds to verbally abuse you, what do you do?


    I would Noclip to a secluded area of the map and !bring the user to my location, where I would inform them that abuse towards a staff member is considered a banable offense and will not be tolerated in any situation, upon informing the user I would issue a verbal warning to cease the abuse towards myself. I would then explain to the user that if he strongly feels as if the warn was a mistake, to take the issue up with a more senior staff member, and if the warn was an error on my behalf to work out a situation where the warn is removed and I apologize for my mistake and work to better myself in the future. If the situation grows and the user continues to abuse myself or other staff members I would communicate with senior staff through the use of @ staff chat, and work with them to issue any warns/bans necessary towards the user.
  • A user has threatened to DDos and take down the server. What do you do?


    I would immediately gain any information towards the user such as profiles and names as an identification tool, and then issue a !ban (user) 0 Ddos Threat. Once the user is banned, I would provide a report to a senior staff member with any related information towards the identification of the user and any evidence of his intentions such as recordings or messages.
  • A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do?


    First and foremost, I would attempt to control the situation in an RP perspective, however if the situation was taken OOC or the individuals began to show increasing signs of aggression towards each other I would issue a verbal warning to both members and attempt to end the conflict on the spot. If the situation continued I would Noclip to a secluded area and !bring both members to my location, and attempt to gain an understanding on the situation by talking to both individuals about the events leading up to the argument, and the current perspective of the argument as an unbiased middleman. Hopefully by talking to both individuals the argument would be resolved, in which I would !return both members and continue on with RP. Lastly, I would inform both members if they have any further problems or issues to make a ticket and it will be dealt with by a staff member.
  • A Cadet has been complaining and wandering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He doesn't appear to have any intent to role play. What do you do?


    Firstly, I would Noclip to the recruit room by the use of !administrate, where I would !bring the recruit and explain to him that he should not be wandering around without initial recruit training. I would then attempt to recruit an individual to train the recruit, either by OOC chat or requesting a SGT+ to the recruit room over /comms, where I would oversee the training if necessary or train the recruit myself if needed. If the recruit was showing signs of mingy behaviour or no intent to RP I would first issue a verbal warning towards the player informing them of the rules and detailing the fact that if they continue to mess around, they will receive a warn/ban. If the behaviour continues, I would give the player a !warn for NITRP as detailed in the verbal warning. If after the first warn, the player continues to miss behave and mess around I would freeze them and inform them of the previous warnings they have received, and then issue a 1 day ban for NITRP (! ban *user* 1 NITRP) towards the player, encouraging them to read the server rules and rethinking their behaviour before re-joining the server.
