PAC3 Questions

Have you used PAC3 before?

Yes

Why do you want access to PAC3? + How will having PAC3 enhance your time on the server?

There are a few reasons for why I would like to obtain PAC3. Yes, some of these answers will be the generic sort of answer as with most applications. Which is why I am going to simply start off with my main reason for why I would like to get PAC3. I am an event character and being one is pretty fun. Although, I would like to at some point just sit down at my computer and make some PAC3 for characters. That way maybe it wouldn't be as much of a hassle for the event masters to try and find models, resize models, re-texture models. I think it would just make it much easier. But now, for the generic answers. I would like PAC3 to of course try to help enhance my role play on the server. Quite recently I obtained a Jedi slot and I personally think that PAC3 would be just perfect for that. It would help get an idea across, as well as just help make things a lot more interesting for others to view. Next, I would like to obtain PAC3 for my Commando role as Cyar'ika. I think that being able to show what I think the character would really look like is a key aspect of helping those around me understand what the character is. It would also allow for me to use animations for settings bombs, detonating bombs, and defusing bombs. Of course it would also help when doing other various tasks like slices. Also a quick note as to why I have combined the 2 questions. It is because they are basically asking the exact same thing, and it is easier to answer it in 1 simple question like "Why do you want PAC3 and how will it enhance your time on the server?"

PAC3 Examples

Display 4 screenshots of your own PAC3 based around Star Wars:

Below you will find just a few of the various things I have made in PAC3, as well as some things that I made specifically for this application and for use on the server itself.

-----------------------------------------------------

My version of the normal massif has new textures which in my opinion look far better than the older textures. As well as it has more spikes on the back to just add a little more detail to the model. The teeth are also not as bright as the normal models teeth. This way it kind of blends in a little better. I have attached a few images of the new massif that I made in PAC3 above. It is a very simple PAC3, but it helps make the original model look a lot better.

-----------------------------------------------------

This is something that I made up just for this application. This is what I am going to call a "Temple Trooper". It is simply a clone trooper that has the Jedi Temple Guard logo on it. Along with a few colours here and there. It has a head band on the top of the helmet with straps that hang off of it. The gun on the back jiggles when moving around. There is a flashlight attached to the shoulder which works. There is a new typing animation that is more true to the clone wars.

-----------------------------------------------------

Here is a small new video. This one is in my opinion pretty cool. It depicts an AAT that has been blown up in the back and has been taken over by Republic forces. It has the logo on the front for anybody who is unsure, as well as it also has 3 different clone troopers crouched down with DC-15a pointed around. Their heads all move using a very simple custom animation.

Here is a simple clone commando PAC3. It features removable weapons that go away on pull out, weapons that actually jiggle around when you run around, a glowing visor that fades in and out, a new antennae since the normal one in my opinion looks a little too bulky. The commando features 2 Bomb Squad logos, one on the pouch and another one on the back of the commando. There is also a phase ii fin on the top of the helmet because I think it looks nice, but also because it makes the commando look a little more like a phase ii trooper.

-----------------------------------------------------

These are just a few of my examples. Of course I will be adding more to the list. I just didn't want to close this and have all the progress on the application lost. So sit tight for more will eventually come.

Here are my thoughts after viewing the application.

Your answers to the question section are great, definitely a stand out. Moving down, your massif PAC is very good. Definitely one of the most unique examples shown on a PAC3 application for a long time. However, I personally think you need to show more than the edited massif and the clone character. Majority of the things on the clone slot is what every clone with PAC3 on the server looks like. In saying this, I should offer up some suggestions to put an edge over other applicants.

  • Your examples are some of the most unique I've seen (massif), however regarding your clone character, we've seen plenty of cool add-ons to clone characters. So try add some more unique PACs, you clearly have potential too.
  • Adding on to the previous point, I think you should really focus on your skill of creating your own version of things, such as the massif. It is clear you are creative and do things outside of the box and the normal standard of PAC. I think you can benefit by showing more PACs like the massif. Creating PACs that are completely your own and unseen is quite rare nowadays and I think you have a lot of potential to do this. Perhaps adding or removing things from a vehicle or something. I feel like you have a unique ability that we rarely see on applications and that is to create genuine unseen PACs. I think you need to hone in on this ability.

Your massif PAC is great, and I think you have a lot of potential to use it to create some more PACs like it. So like I said above, I think you should continue along the lines of editing things that have become so standard to us (massifs, vehicles), by doing this you're showing a new creative side and raising the standard for PAC immensely.

If any of this sounds confusing let me know and I'll rephrase it.

Believe it or not. That was already one of my existing thoughts. I have just been trying to decide on what vehicle I should modify. For example, I could take a CIS vehicle and turn it into a Republic vehicle, and the same goes for Republic vehicles turning into CIS vehicles.
If you have any ideas for a good vehicle to do, then please let me know.

eh I don't really have any ideas myself, but what I was trying to say in my reply was you should capitalise on your ability to create new things on more than just a clone, which is all we see nowadays.

Hello fellow ex-pilot.

Here's my take...
In regards to your written application, your answers are great and includes the necessary detail.
I could only suggest making it look cleaner and nicer. (Center Text 🙂) It is a small change but can only enhance your application.

In regards to your current examples, It definitely expresses a high level of skill and understanding with pac3.
I would highly suggest adding some more examples in. Even if it is the use of weapons on different models.
I do see you are already intending to add more.

Show the PAC managers why you should have access to PAC on the server by showing them some unique PACs.

On the verge of giving the +1 as I would like to see more examples. Neutral for now.
Goodluck legend.

Tags is a good friend of mine and has shown great examples in his application. He has shown a great and unique knowledge of pac 3. He would be perfect to have pac on the server, He is a high rank and a trustworthy player. We have played multiple servers in the past and he has had pac on all of them. while playing on these servers he has shown to me that he is more than trust worthy to hold pac3 perms.

Good luck with you application.

Hey @Tags,

Not really much to say that would provide honest feedback, @Cappa pretty much summed it all up. You have given some good examples, your answers to your questions are the best I have ever seen for a PAC3 application, your spelling, grammar and punctuation is flawless and you have some amazing formatting for your application. The examples you have given are really well rounded, while your clone trooper example is not the most original concept, how you have gone about applying your own unique twist on all the examples are to be commended. You have demonstrated you have a wide array of knowledge and skills regarding PAC3, you know how to use custom animations and have provided some very polished examples.

All in all, not much I can say. Good job on a great application. Rippa and I have discussed it and decided to accept your application. Congratulations, refresh yourself on the PAC3 rules when using PAC3 and feel free for asking Rippa or myself for any clarification on rules or anything at all.

Myself and Rippa have discussed about your PAC3 application...

Accepted
