  1. Player information: Current in-game alias and or ranks: LTC 2225 Sydney & Commander Barris Offee Previous notable Names/Ranks/Positions: None SteamID: STEAM_0:0:104111358 Steam profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/SydneyTerror/ List your current playtime (in hours) on our Clone Wars RP servers (Main and Event server): 181+ Hours What is your age? (Minimum of 14 years of age): 18 Do you have any active warnings? (Confirm with a staff member if unsure): Nope How well are you known on a scale of 1-10? 6 Are you willing to test your stress Stress = no problem Do you believe you are able to deal with individuals and situations in a completely unbiased manner? Absolutely; I have no friends. Application: TeamSpeak is an essential platform used by all staff members to communicate to each other and the community. A majority of your presence (including activity) will be determined by your availability on TeamSpeak. Do you have it installed? Of Course What made you decide to join the staff team? What are your intentions with the staffing role and it's in-game abilities and power? Well, I have been on the server for a couple months now and watching the current staff team do their thing has been enjoyable, I would like to contribute more to Gateway and help out the community by keeping it safe and enjoyable for all players. Also there has been times where no staff have been on at all to do tickets and prevent bad sports from ruining other people's experience, with my activity and devotion I could definitely boost the amount of active staff on the server. My intentions are to keep the server free from harassment & bulling, most would agree that some people are not here to roleplay; but would rather bully people for enjoying Star Wars RP, as a mod it would be my main focus to seek out people like that and persuade them to behave more kindly to others on the server. I would also keep watch on people tool abusing (Staff & Players) to make sure people are not abusing their power. In a minimum of 50 words, express if and / or how you enjoy helping others? Also include how this will transfer into the staffing role if achieved. As a SGT in 7th I took pleasure in training cadet's. Helping them learn the ropes and rules of how to play. I would always say "I prefer training cadets over try-outs." to the others and they would look at me as if to say "Are you demented?" Meeting and engaging with new people is a fun learning experience and I can say with 100% certainty that I have never failed to train a cadet. I was even able to handle the mingy ones. Moving these skills over to the staff role will be a piece of cake because I have good people skills and a very lay-back attitude in my tone of speech, being able to negotiate and explain in a courteous manner what the person did wrong and outline the punishment if needed. In a minimum of 50 words, if given a trial phase, how will you impact the community and what benefits will you bring to the staff team? So first off, I'd be very quick on the trigger to snatch a ticket and prove myself to the other staff members that I am able to carry out the request. Being another friendly voice on the staff team and greeting the players as I teleport behind them to give them tools. I do have previous moderator experience on Gmod (Murder & Prophunt) so I could share some tips and tricks to some of the other Trial Moderators regarding how to deal with problems and give a helping hand to anyone who has a question. Being completely unbiased in my decision making the words "Friend & Foe" become invisible; dishing out any punishment necessary to whoever it may be. Conditions: Do you understand that as a member of the Staff Team, your position may be subject to change and / or termination should you not be performing to a given standard? This standard is varied, although a minimum of 20 hours per week is strongly advised. Do you understand that your application’s comments from other staff members are encouraged to be directed as harsh constructive criticism only and should never be intended to insult or discourage? Not a problem, I already pull roughly 26 hours per week (Yes I did the math) Scenarios: Disclaimer - Be advised, extremely low effort answers for the following questions will result in your application to be either put on hold until a better standard is reached, or outwrite deleted. Please refer to previously accepted applications (Resolved Application Link) or ask a current staff member to then influence your own unique response. (Any forged responses will result in a denied application) A user is RDMing and insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? First I would !bring the Victim/Witness confirming with them that it was a deliberate act of RDM and if the Victims/Witness have said so I would check logs to confirm that players have indeed killed each other. Then I'd move to !bring [user] (The person RDMing) to take him away from the other players so he cannot kill anyone else, explaining to him that he should stop RDMing and try to be nicer to the other players because they are just trying to have a good time and that RDM is against server rules. Depending on how many the user had killed or if he was genuinely sorry/didn't understand the rules I may let him off with a verbal. (The situation can vary) If I deem it mingy behaviour and NITRP I would give him a !warn [user] Reason RDM x3 or however many he killed. If he isn't listening or attempting to kill me I would strip him of his weapon or !jail user then reiterate what I said previously. If he proceeds to RDM again I would just ban him immediately. !ban [user] [time] Reason: NITRP | Failure to Obey Staff If the user disconnects during the sit I would !ban [user] [time] Reason: Disconnect to Avoid Punishment or Failure to Obey Staff If there is a reason or story behind any of the RDM cases I would follow up with the other players involved to make sure I understand the full picture of the scene. I would notify the other moderators of what has happened shortly after as well. A user has contested a warn you have given him and proceeds to verbally abuse you, what do you do? Remind the player to please be nice to staff and all players before checking the contestability of the warn, if the warn was false or has been proved to be incorrect I would check with the other staff online and discuss the situation more with them, using their advice I would make my decision accordingly. If the user is indeed in the wrong and the warn still stands I would explain to the player exactly why he was warned. If he still wishes to continue to verbally abuse me I would !warn [user] Reason: Staff Abuse then get another staff member to assist me in the situation as my opinion may possibly become biased, letting the other staff member deal with it. A user has threatened to DDos and take down the server. What do you do? I would ban all associated users/user permanently to prevent the DDos. I would then contact other staff or the head Admin and inform them of the situation. Getting together with the other staff and verifying the situation, checking to see how many people may be connected to the threat. Calming the main player base down as to not crash the server and cause more issues. The staff team and I would make sure to narrow down the list of associated people. I would then move to verify the legitimacy of the threat, I would check their steam profile and see if they have any VAC bans while also reading some of the profile comments to get an idea of the players past. Checking to see if they had been banned on other severs as well. The course of action; depending if he contacts one of us or submits a ban appeal the user would remain banned until he decides to improve his behaviour and can show us that he is willing to play properly. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? Assuming this is a regimental debrief or after event debrief. I would PM both players asking them to both calm down and continue on with their debrief, if they do not listen I would !bring [user] & [user] away to a discrete location and ask one of the other people in the room to do debrief instead. I would ask them what the problem is between the two of them telling them to continue this privately in teamspeak or to just drop it and move on. If a certain player is in the wrong I would contact the CO of their regiment to tell them about the disagreement, noting that both players should be watched for a bit to make sure it doesn’t sprawl into an RDM case. If the argument starts up again I would give both players a verbal warning, stating that if they do not stop the next person to start it up again would be server warned for player harassment. !Warn [user] Reason: Player Harassment | Failure To Obey Staff If one of the two people involved start to RDM the other I would quickly isolate the incident using !bring [user] & [user] and telling another staff member to keep an eye on both their regiments to make sure they don't start RDMing each other. The person who shot first would get warned for ARDM & the person who killed the other would be warned for RDM. It can vary depending on who kills who or who shot first. I would use logs to check this. A Cadet has been complaining and wandering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He doesn't appear to have any intent to role play. What do you do? I would let everyone know that a cadet is in the cadet room and he needs a SGT to come down and train him, while a SGT comes to train him I would take up the opportunity to have a conversation with the player to pass time before a SGT can get to the room watching the cadet to make sure he complies with the SGT and follows the rules if he doesn't want cooperate with the SGT I'll pull him aside to have a chat stating that if he doesn't work with the SGT he will be warned. That will be his verbal. If he continues to have NITRP he will be warned with !warn [user] Reason: NITRP If he continues to not listen to the SGT/Staff I would move to !ban [user] [time] Reason: NITRP If no SGT is present I would train him myself running him through the rules and training him. If he is unwilling to listen to me train him I will give him a verbal and if it continues move to a !warn [user] Reason: NITRP followed by !ban [user] [time] Reason: NITRP if they decide to keep going. After the training is done I would spectate him to make sure he doesn’t ruin other peoples roleplay. As said he has no intention to RP so keeping an eye on him would be crucial. If he decides to continue to have NITRP and starts causing issues for other players I would !bring [user] to a secluded spot to explain to him that people are just trying to have fun. If he appears to want to play the game properly I would let him go with a verbal. But if he shows no sign of wanting to RolePlay I'll give him a his first warning !Warn [user] NITRP explaining that he can’t just ruin other people’s time because he is bored. Resuming spectating him once again, if I see any actions which is deemed NITRP I would move to !ban [user] [time] NITRP Thank you for taking the time to read the application.
  2. Current in-game alias/rank: Colonel Spartax of Doom's Unit | 2LT Climber of Ion Team | Padawan Gax Kel'Tsaar of 187th Clone Legion Previous Notable Names/Ranks/Positions 2LT Gregor Foxtrot Group Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:8735405 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Bajerooo Moderator Requirements List your current playtime (in hours) on our Clone Wars RP server: 380+ What is your age? (Minimum of 14 years of age.) 17 How well known are you on a scale of 1-10? 6 Do you have Teamspeak 3 installed? Yes Do you enjoy helping other people? Yes Are you willing to test your stress? Yes Do you believe you're able to deal with individuals and situations in a completely unbiased manner? Yes Do you have any problems with any of our current staff members? No Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? Yes Do you have any active warns? No, my last warns where in July this year for RDM & ARDM, these warns are legitimate and I 100% percent agree with them; however I was very new to Garry's mod and Gateway Gaming at this time. How will you becoming a moderator impact our community? I am currently a very active member of the gateway gaming community and I always have been I have been playing since July this year non-stop. I play all hours of the day even into the wee hours of the night. If I gain a position in the moderator team, I will continue my activity and provide moderation of the community for most of the active hours of the server and use a helpful mindset to help as many people as I can. Do you understand that as a member of the Staff Team, your position may be subject to change and / or termination should you not be performing to the degree stipulated? Do you also understand that a staff role is one that comes with the expectation of commiting time to helping the users of the server (Up to 20 hours a week)? Yes, I am one hundred percent commuted to helping the community so if me stepping down or moving up to fill a position or me being terminated is the best action for the community I have no problems whatsoever. I already commit a large amount of my time to Gateway Gaming and I am okay with commiting more if needed. Moderator Questions A user is RDMing and insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? After being alerted to the situation, I would claim the ticket if there was one. I would then go to a location by using "!administrate". the place would have to be not accessible by other players like under the map or in an admin box. after the location is found I would "!bring" the suspect and maybe one or two witnesses if there is a party that is directly involved they would also be brought. I would then start a dialogue with the parties, starting with the "victim" first I would say something along the lines of "What happened, did you do anything to push the perp to do this and do you have any evidence?" after speaking to the victim I would speak to the perp and ask "What is your side of the story, what's your reason response to these allegations? do you have any evidence?" after gaining all the necessary information I would make a decision, but to double-check I would use "!logs" and double-check, if I found anything there and I found that someone was lying that could entail additional punishment. if it was found that the Perp was guilty I would use '!warn" and a reason such as "RDM (or MRDM) | Insulting others". I would inform the perp of the warn and give him a verbal warning going along the lines of "If this happens again while this last warn is active it will result in a ban". after the issue is resolved I would "!return" both players/parties and follow the warned player around a bit in "!administrate" to ensure no more bad behavior is shown. A user has contested a warn you have given him and proceeds to verbally abuse you, what do you do? I Would firstly claim the ticket then use "!administrate" and move to a secluded location, "!bring" the user, I would tell them in a clear concise voice: "You were warned for this reason, and if you think that is unfair which you have the right to you need to message a senior administrator or higher. furthermore, verbal abusing a staff member or any member of the community is a warnable offence so this is a verbal warning to stop what you are doing" after our conversation has ended I would use "!return" to send him back to his last location. if the Perp continues to harass me or other community members I would pull him aside again and say "If given you a verbal warning and you've continued so I will slap you with a formal warning for abusing staff and other parties". using "!warm (perp) (reason: Verbal abuse/abusing a staff member)". A user has threatened to DDos and take down the server. What do you do? Situation One: in the event that I am the highest ranking staff on, e.g. there are no admins on this would take priority over anything I am doing even other tickets etc, it needs to be dealt with swiftly and seriously, I would use “!goto (user)” and ask them directly “Are you being serious? Do you know the consequences for even making a threat?” depending on their response I would use the commands “!kick (user)” then “!ban (user) (0) (DDos threats)” afterwards I would gather information such as video, screenshots, steam ID and steam profile link, Chat logs. Then report all the evidence and the ban to a higher staff member such as a senior admin. Situation Two: If there are higher ranking staff e.g. a Admin or higher, I would !p them or @ the admin chat to get there attention for them to deal with it, as I feel dealing with something like this is something over my head and more suited to a Administrator. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? Situation One: firstly I would verbally warn them to stop arguing because if you are mature enough to be an officer you should be able to have a mature argument. if the arguing continues I would move to a secluded location and "!bring". I would get whatever user is less revved up and get there side of the story and after that, I would get the other users rebuttal to his response, I would in a sense act as a moderator of the argument. After they have sorted there differences I would use !return them both. Situation Two: if insults and names are continue to be thrown around a "!warn" could be warranted. using !mute I can mute them so I can talk to them both clearly and concisely. "The both of you are high ranking officer's and should not be displaying such immaturity, I am reporting both of you to your COs" after saying this I would report the Lieutenant to his CO and the Commander to RHC. after that any punishments are not my responsibility. A Cadet has been complaining and wandering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He doesn't appear to have any intent to role play. What do you do? If I see the message from the “cadet” I would use “!goto (user)” I would strike up a conversation with them first and determine if they are just here to mess around and waste someone’s time or are here on GG to roleplay and have fun. I feel mingy behavior starts when people are bored so the best thing to do is occupy them by training them, I would either do it myself or say “/ooc A Cadet needs training, I need an SGT+ to report to the training room please, if no one reports to the room I will pick an SGT at random.” if no one comes in the next minute or so I would quickly scan through the tab menu and pick a lower-ranking SGT that I know isn’t carrying out other duties to do it. I would use “!bring (user)” to bring them to the cadet. After that I would go into “!administrate” and spectate to ensure the cadet isn’t displaying mingy behavior. If the cadet continues to minge and undermine the SGT I would pull the cadet aside with “!bring” and give a verbal warning along the lines of “this is your first and final verbal warning, if you continue to minge you will be warned and possibly banned” if the cadets go through training and get whitelisted I would follow him around in “!administrate” to ensure he is following server rules. If he breaks other rules or shows NITRP I would formally warn them for it. EDIT REASON: Feedback from other Administrators and moderators. @Pluto | @Stingel | @Flea
  3. Checklist: Do you have TS3 Installed? Yes Do you enjoy helping other people? Yes, I enjoy helping others on the server and in general, just helping the community Are you willing to test your stress? Yes List your current playtime: (Click Here) 290.65 hours. On my current steam account [GG]Ninja (I have more hours, but on other steam names) Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? Yes, I am very open to learning new things especially things that help me be a better person/player Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? I have no problems with any of the current staff members Requirements: Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:104834967 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198169935663/ Current in game alias: B-2308 Ninja How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): 5 - 7 I may not be that well known with a lot of SPC's and below. But am very well known by a lot of SGT's and officers. How will you becoming a moderator make an impact on the community? I believe that I would be a big help to SGT's who are trying to host training or train cadets, as I could give them tools, or help make there cadet listen to them if they're being mingy. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? No but I am completely willing to start using it more for the sake of staff Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? First, I would do /logs and check if he/she is indeed RDMing. Next I would go to an isolated part of the map and do the command !bring >name< If they attempt to run away I would do !jail >name< Once I have got them to listen, I would explain to them that RDMing and verbally abusing others is strictly prohibited. I would give them a warn using the command !warn >player< >reason< (reason: RDMing, as well as Insulting others), Once that's done with, I would do !unjail >player< and !return >player<. If i hear that he/she is minging once again, I would give him a 2nd warn with the same reasoning. If that doesn't stop him I would simply do !ban >player< >1< >reason< (1 hour) (reason: Continuing to RDM and insult others after being warned twice by staff) and I would just ban him from the server for a limited time. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb SWEP abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? I would start by doing /logs to see if the user was in fact RDMing. Once I have proof of them breaking server rules, I explain to the troopers who reported the user, that I'm working things out with the user. I would do !goto >player< and I would attempt to reason and talk with the player, that what he was doing was unacceptable, If they attempt to run away i would do !jail >player< I would then explain that RDMing and climbSWEP abusing is against the servers rules. I would then bring the group of users who reported him/her and make them apologize to them. Once that's done I would do !return >player< for the group of players and give the user a verbal warning. If he continues to minge I would do !warn >player< >reason<. If he continues after that I would just straight up kick him by doing !kick >player< >reason< I believe players who get multiple chances and still refuse to not behave have no place in a friendly community such as gateway, as they ruin all the fun for everyone. 3. A user has threatened to DDos and take down the server. What do you do? If there was an admin on at the time, I would ask him/her to sort it out. But if I was by myself, I would take no chances and just straight up perm-ban the player by doing !ban >player< >time< >reason< (I would put the time to "0" to perm-ban) (reason: Threatening to DDos the server) whether or not they were just joking, to DDos a server is not a joke and is very serious, and I believe anyone who threatens or even jokes about that kind of stuff shouldn't be playing on our server. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? I would go to a private area and do !bring >player< for both Officers. I would then ask them why they were arguing and what it was about, once they tell me, I tell them that they should know better especially as officers. I would tell them to keep the arguments to themselves outside of debrief and not disturb the entire server. I would end it with a verbal warning for the both of them. And after would report the incident to there regiments CO(s), If the commander is the CO of his regiment, I would inform high command, because I believe as a CO, it's unacceptable behavior to argue in public places, especially in front of debrief! After the incident and after debrief, I would apologize to the EM for what the 2 officers did. If even after that, I hear about another incident like that from both of them, I would give them both a warning by doing !warn >player< >reason< (reason: Continuing to argue in public places even after verbal warning) And hopefully that would be the end of that. 5. A Cadet has been complaining and wandering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? I would start by going to the cadet room and doing !bring >player< to the cadet. I would try to explain to them they need to get trained first before wandering around everywhere. I would then ask in OOC chat if a SGT+ wants to train the cadet, if someone who is eligible for training cadets replies, i would do !bring >player< and bring the user to train the cadet. I would tell them to inform me if the cadet begins to minge and not listen. If the cadet starts minging again I would do !goto >player< and give the cadet a verbal warning, If they continue to minge even after that. I would simply do !warn >player< >reason< (reason: Continuing to minge even after verbal warning from staff) If they continue to minge, I would simply do !kick >player< >reason< (reason: Continuing to minge after 2 warnings from staff) I think players who get multiple chances to stop minging but continue anyways for a good laugh shouldn't be allowed on the server. There is a very clear line between having a good laugh for a bit and being a straight up minge/dickhead.
  4. Checklist: Do you have TS3 Installed? Yes. Do you enjoy helping other people? I do enjoy helping others. Are you willing to test your stress? Yes. List your current playtime: The link provided in the template states I've played 38 hours, however I due to profile name changes, I don't believe that is correct. I am unsure of the actual count, but I think it is more than enough. Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? I am more then happy to learn. Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? No. (Nothing I am aware of anyway.) Requirements: Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:59626797 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/outtatimeouttanames/ Current in game alias: Coric How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): 6-7, I'm not absolutely familiar with everyone on the sever but more than willing to get to know them. How will you becoming a moderator make an impact on the community? I can't say I'd be the best thing to ever happen to this community, but I'd put in my best possible effort to make this community and even more friendly and enjoyable place for everyone. I'd be more than happy to help in any sort of issue, regardless of the magnitude, and would hope my involvement would see a positive impact across the community. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? I don't generally use the teamspeak server to talk, I don't like jumping into random channels, but you'll generally find me sitting in my regiments teamspeak channel if you wish to talk. Situations: (I should note I'm unfamiliar with what commands Moderators have access to, so my apologies if any of this is inaccurate.) 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? My first action would be to remove the user from the rest of the players, this would be done by teleporting them to the outside of the Venator, or far away from the rest of the other players if this is occurring during the event. This could be done through the !bring or !tp commands. My second action would be to freeze/jail the player, due to the fact that they have RDM'd and may attempt to kill me. This would allow me to address the player. I would do this through the !jail or !freeze commands. (In hindsight, it would of probably been easier to just use !jailtp command.) The following actions would be determined by a couple of variables. If the player is apologetic to the users they affected, and the insults/RDM count is not severe the user would be let off with a warn, with further monitoring by myself to ensure they do not continue to break the rules. However, if the user is a repeat offender, or continuously hostile and aggressive, to myself and other users on the server and refuses to to act properly, I would remove the player from the server. (If moderators have access, a short ban, otherwise a kick and I would raise the issue with a higher staff member.) 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? There would be no benefit to a knee-jerk reaction, I would attempt to calm the users down and assure them that the issue is currently being looked into. If the user is currently on the server I would the logs to see if the claims of RDM hold validity, alongside further observation of the user through the !cloak command. If it is found that the user is breaking server rules a similar process as to the previous situation would be undertaken. If the infringements are minor, the user is apologetic, and this is not a repeat offence, then the user would be verbally spoken to, and receive a warn through the !warn command. If the infringements are major, the user is verbally or through actions hostile, or if they are a repeat offender then a more severe punishment would be given. Generally in the way of a !kick or a !ban for a short to medium amount of time. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? Threats to undertake DDoS attacks must be taken extremely seriously. I would immediately ban the user for the longest period of time available for a moderator, (eg. !ban (User) 0). I would the notify the highest available staff member on about the issue and provide relevant details about the user. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in-front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? Due to the fact that this may be apart of some form of RP, or In-Character arguments it would be unwise to interfere immediately. (As it may ruin the EM's plans, or just spoil the RP for people on the server). I would allow for CG/Shock/Appropriate IC characters to deal with the issue. If no action is taken, or CG and Shock separate the two and the issue continues into OOC I would then intervene. I would attempt to take a middle ground, asking both users to calm down, and if they have issues resolve the calmly and to use other means. If the regiment is facing internal issues, I would refer the groups created in the Commanders meeting (if they still exist). However my main goal would be to prevent the dispute from occurring over OOC or on the server, and avoid getting involved to prevent the issue from getting further inflamed. 5. A Cadet has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? It would be wrong to persecute players based off initial presumptions, especially that of a new player who would be rather bored and irritated. I would bring the user to the training room and welcome them to the server. I would apologize for the delays and attempt to get a SGT+ to train the trooper. If possible I would attempt to train the trooper myself. After training I would keep a distant eye on the trooper, to make sure they're accommodated and not causing or having issues with the server. Thank you for reading my application. If you wish to talk to me, or message me about anything, feel free to add me on steam using the links above.

How will you becoming a moderator impact on the community? I wish to keep the same enthusiasm as the staff team currently holds while also pushing the bar higher for other staff members to work harder and better communicate to the Gateway Gaming Community and others whom we interact with. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? I do indeed when other members aren't hiding in password protected channels. Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? using !bring {user} I would relocate the user to a place where they cannot attack other players and talk to them about how RDM is against the rules aswell as being disrespectful to other members, if they obey and listen I would tell them to reread the rules and stop harassing other players, giving them a warning with !warn {user} {RDM/disrespecting players} if the user kept on harassing the other players I would escalate the punishment to a kick with !kick {user} {RDM/Disrespecting players}. If user continues to rule break, would follow the line of punishment. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? I Would ask the group of users reporting to me what the said user has done and when, I would then go to a private location and !bring {user} and ask the offender about the said rules they broke, if there story matches up with the group I would give the offending user !warn {user} {RDM/Climbswep abuse}. If their story did not match up I would tell the group of players what the user said, and say that false reports are serious aswell. after saying that I would look for prove of the RDM in the logs. if the reporting players were lying they would be punished with warns about false reporting a player. if they were telling truth and i find evidence of rdm from the offender. the offender would receive another warn for lying to staff or a !kick {user} {Offense/Lying to staff} 3. A user has threatened to DDOS and take down the server. What do you do? Bring it up with higher staff who the user is, as well as banning the player with !ban 0 {user} {Threating to DDOS server is not taken lightly by this community, Permabanned. apply on forums if you wish to be unbanned} 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? If the argument is in relation to In game events, would solve the problem through role play, if it became too heated and started to include Out of RP events i would step up and move them away from the public eye to bring them to a equal agreement on the subject, if i cannot handle the situation i would call for help from other staff to deal with the situation. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? I would ask them if they are hear to play the server or to mess around, If they say they wish to play I would organise the cadet to be trained asap, if no one is available I would take training into my own hands. If any of the punishments are wrong please correct me for I do have a full understanding of the punishments for rule breaking within this community Thanks in Advance,

Do you use our Teamspeak server often? For several hours every day, usually in my own channel or Gruff's channel. Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? I !bring the user to an isolated location and !freeze them while I look into what happened. If the user did it on purpose I would !warn them if the user continued I would !kick them. If the user rejoined and continued I wold !ban them and tell them to apply on the forums to be unbanned. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? I pull aside all of the users individually and ask them what happened and if they can give me the name of the person responsible. If their stories relate I then look for the user to see if they're still online or if anyone knows where they went. If the user is online I ask them why they broke the rules and what they expected to gain from it. I would !warn the user for their previous actions and tell them not to do it again. If the user continues their behaviour I would !kick them. If the user rejoins and continues their previous actions I would then give them a temporary !ban. If the User was not online I would talk to their CO and other users and see if they had any previous incidents of a similar kind. I then talk to the CO about the consequences of the users actions and give them a warn. If the user logs on and continues their actions I would !kick them. If the user rejoined and continued I would then !ban them and tell them to apply on the forums to be unbanned. I would also ask any users on the server for some proof of what the user who was breaking the rules did in order to determine what happened. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? I would !ban them permanently and tell them to apply on the forums as Gateway takes any threats seriously. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing infront of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? I would !bring both users to a private area and !gag them in turns while I find out what caused the argument. If the argument continues I would !warn both users, if the situation continued I would !kick or !ban them. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? I would call for a SGT+ to come train the cadet and if he kept minging I would !warn him. If the cadet kept minging I would !kick them and if the rejoined and kept minging I would !ban them and tell them to apply on the forums to be unbanned.

I don't wish to join to advance the server's staff performance dramatically. I wish to join to make sure Gateway Gaming's Staffs Reputation doesn't decrease. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? I do not. I have not had any reasons too. Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? Isolate the user. Question them on why they are acting in such ways calmly. see if theirs any way I can help. if keep acting out of line. follow punishment rules depending on current situation. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? Ask for proof of this user rule breaking. isolate user that was breaking rules and question what they did and why. follow through with appropriate punishment. return to the group that report them and cool the situation with them so no further harm happens. 3. Waiting to be trained gets boring. so I would bring them back to cadet training room and request for someone to train them ASAP. if no one is available, Train Cadet myself. if hey doesn't follow and starts minging follow through with needed punishments based on what they are doing.
  9. Checklist: Do you use Teamspeak and are you willing to get on it more? Yes i am frequently on Teamspeak and if it is required i am willing to get on more. Do you enjoy helping other people? Yes, i try to help people as much as i can. Are you willing to test your stress? Yes, i feel that it would be a good experience testing my stress to see how i react. Do you have over 20 hours? If so, list your hours. Yes, i have 360 hours on Gateway. Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? yes, learning how to approach new situations would be very beneficial for me and helping me in my staffing ability. Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? No, i am friendly with the current staff. Requirements: Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:123780698 Steam Profile Link: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198207827124/ Current in game alias: Swift RC-1239 Climber Petty Officer Spark How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): 5, I have been on the server for a while now and know quite a lot of the community. How will you becoming a moderator impact on the community? Me becoming a Moderator will have a positive impact on the community due to me adding to the staff team which will help lower the amount of rule breaking and increase the amount surveillance on players. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? Yes i am in the Teamspeak whenever i am on the server which i whenever i can be. Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? Firstly i would bring this user and warn the user using !warn for RDM and abuse of other players, then i would keep my eye on them to see if he continued with this behaviour and if so i would kick them using !Kick for continuously breaking the rules and not following staff instructions. After this if the user continued with his actions i would ban them using !ban for a week for, failure to RP, Abuse of other players and multiple counts of RDM. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? Firstly i would bring the group of users with !bring making the claim one by one to see if they are all on the same story and not just trying to get this person kicked/banned, if they all had the same story i would see what the person that they are making the claims against's story was and try to defuse the situation. i would end it with a verbal warning to the user telling him not to do these things, after i would explain to the group that no mediate action could be taken because there is not enough evidence to go along with their story. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? If this user just threatens the server with D Dosing it, firstly i would ask what has lead them to the point in which they have wanted to make that threat towards the server and try to help them into making them a new member of the community if they aren't one already. If this ended badly and they failed to cooperate i would ask a higher staff member E.G S8ncaat, For permission to permanently ban them using Iban 0 for the major threat and failing to cooperate. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing infront of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? The first thing that i would do is !bring both of the users outside of debrief as quickly as possible so it would stop the interference and let the Event Master continue debriefing the server. Then i would try to calm both of the Commander and Lieutenant down, follow that up with resolving the issue and then explaining to them that it is not OK to do those sorts of things in front of the entire server and how it could possibly give them or their regiments a bad reputation. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? I would ask a sergeant+ to train the CR then try to keep an eye on him to see if he did minge or break any of the rules, then follow him up with the correct punishment for his actions within the rule breaking. Or welcome another new member to the Gateway community.
  10. Checklist: Do you use Teamspeak and are you willing to get on it more? Yes I use TeamSpeak basically everyday. Do you enjoy helping other people? I enjoy being able to assist people with things when they need if I am able to help them in anything I can. Are you willing to test your stress? I am willing to test my stress as it will be helpful for me to find out how much I can handle as it will enable me to find alternate methods of dealing with it so I can function properly. Do you have over 20 hours? If so, list your hours. Currently 510+ hours on Gateway Gaming Star Wars RP. Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? I am willing to learn different approaches as it will help me if I have learnt different ways of approaching the situation because the cause of different situations can be very different. Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? I currently don't have any problem with any of the GG staff team Requirements: Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:79531582 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198119328893/ Current in game alias: MSG 4764 Aranar (Horn Company) General Anakin Skywalker How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): A 5 or so. How will you becoming a moderator impact on the community? I am generally very active and listen to everyone who needs help and I make time to help others. I would follow the facts in a situation over bonds as the biased staff would not last long and have an unfair advantage over others. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? I use it very often. I usually reside in the 7th Sky, 501st and Horn Company channels with exceptions Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? I would !bring then !jail the user to stop them from continuing to RDM and I would then find out why they were doing so. I would then !warn, !ban or !kick the user depending on how many people they RDMed and let them know what they did isn't allowed on Gateway Gaming, and if the user continued to do so after that. I would tell the user that if they wanted to be unbanned from the server they would have to go to the Gateway Gaming forums and apply with a valid reason to be unbanned from the server. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? I would !bring the user accused first to a secluded location and then !jail the user to hear their side of what happened, then I would !bring the other users to hear their side of the story. I would then !warn the user for breaking server rules by RDMing and insulting other players. I would then tell them if they did so again I would kick them from the server and let them know that if after that they did so again I would !ban them from the server. I would let the user know why they were banned and where they could go to apply to get unbanned if they had a valid reason seen fit to let them back on the server. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? I would instantly !ban the user from the server permanently as a Ddos threat is regarded very carefully on Gateway as it would negatively affect many people if it occurred. I would then tell them that the only way they could get unbanned is to talk to a senior staff member or apply on the forums with a reason that explains why they tried threatening to Ddos the server. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing infront of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? I would !bring the Commander and Lieutenant then I would try to calm them down but if the continued I would !gag both while ungagging one at a time to learn what was going on. I would then after hearing both sides I would talk users for what they were doing as it isn't appropriate to argue like that in the server in front of people, I would then decide on what I would do such as !ban, !kick or !warn them depending on how severe the argument was. If they continued arguing after I talked to them I would !kick them from the server telling them why I did so. If the reason they were arguing was poor I would tell them to stop as they should know better. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? I would !bring the cadet back to the Cadet Training Room then I would advertise in chat for a SGT+ to come train the cadet and if no-one came I would !bring a SGT+ there to train the cadet while watching carefully over the training process for 5-10 minutes to see if the cadet was here to actually play or to just minge about. If they were here to just minge and they didn't want to be trained I would !warn them and tell them to listen to their trainer or else. If they continued I would either !kick or !ban them depending on how they were acting and their attitude towards the server and the users on it. If they asked why I would tell them that they were here not to play seriously and to just waste other people's time, I would then tell them if they had been banned that they would have to go to the forums and apply there to get unbanned with a reason why they should be after how they were acting.
  11. Checklist: Do you use Teamspeak and are you willing to get on it more? I... I don't think it's possible to be on Teamspeak more than I already am on, but yes if I somehow do get around to getting on more, I am willing. Do you enjoy helping other people? Honestly? I'm a little guilty of this at the moment, but I've been taking tickets on occasion throughout my time of being a Junior Event Master; nothing major, just tools and the like; but after a certain Commander Banana pointed out the fact that I'm not an admin nor a moderator yet I'm taking tickets... well... I decided that perhaps I should change that. Other than that, yes, I love helping people out to the best of my abilities. It's not everyday that I get to do that and it's irksome when I see someone struggling with something as I'll often PM the person asking if they've sorted out their issue just yet-- and even answer a few questions concerning the server on more than one occasion. I'm aware that I haven't been around for as long as some others have, but I like to think that yes, I do enjoy helping people. Are you willing to test your stress? If I weren't willing to test myself, I won't be able to say I'm willing to learn and improve. A lesson that isn't taught through testing your endurance, and therefore expanding it, isn't much of a lesson at all-- comfort zones are made to be expanded. Do you have over 20 hours? If so, list your hours. In GMod I've a total of 597 hours. Been on the server itself for just under a year now. Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? I'm always eager to learn and like to consider myself a fast learner. I'm completely aware that I do not know all the tricks in the book and as such I feel that joining the moderator team will do me good just as much as I'll be able to do the server good with my presence as both an EM and a Moderator. Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? None whatsoever. I've nothing but respect for the staff of Gateway Gaming. Requirements: Steam ID: crimsonn12 Steam Profile Link: http://steamcommunity.com/id/crimsonn12 Current in game alias: ARC Trainee 92 How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): People tend to know me currently for my ex-role in 612th and my events, I'm not an unknown name but I like to think that people do know me. 9-- although without the opinions of others I can't really say for sure. How will you becoming a moderator impact on the community? I like to think that I'm a mature problem solver, and as such am able to sort out situations without losing my cool. I think my presence as a moderator alongside an Event Master will benefit the server and therefore benefit me because for the year that I've been here and around this community, I've wanted nothing more than to involve myself more with the players, the staff and the roleplay aspect that the server focuses on. I've a years worth of experience in moderating and being a Player Relations staff member in a large MMO, namely Graal Online iEra, with 5,000+ hours under my belt there as a player, and a years worth as a staff member. I left because I needed to focus on my education, but I'm no longer in school anymore so I feel the want to really get involved with a staff team again as it's something I greatly enjoy, and it just so happens that GatewayGaming is a community I've grown to quickly love. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? Yes, every day. Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? First I'd sort out the "insulting others" issue, as players don't want other users mic spamming about how they "screwed their mother" or filling OOC chat with nonsense with !mute and !gag. And if a repeat offense is made, a written warning will be issued with !warn. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? Well, it'd be rather unfair if I'd act solely on one side of the story. I'd approach the other user and get his side of the story and act accordingly, if it's a matter for higher staff I'd escalate it but otherwise I would make a judgement call based on the fact that I now know both sides of the story and make sure that there is no antagonizing attitude on the behalf of the players who wish for the player to be removed-- we do not need more issues than there already is current. If for some reason the accused user has not done these things and the group of players are simply trying to paint him black (people have done this in the past in my experience as a moderator) I will act accordingly, saying it's not good to paint another member of their community black and that they should try sort of their differences. If the user has indeed been breaking server rules, I'd give him a verbal warning as I haven't been there to see the abuse in person, before telling the group of people in question to notify me the instant he acts up again and give him a written warning that is placed on his profile. However if it is RDMing alongside other aspects of climbswep abuse, and/or I, myself, see the killfeed and/or a ticket, I'll be quick to act, jailing them if need be so they can't shoot anybody outside it with !jail and warning them for RDMing-- if they show no signs of stopping I'll ban them from the server, just long enough for them to learn their lesson. I cannot act on an accusation without evidence, unless reason is shown and given I can only do so much as a moderator. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? If it's simply a troll... a ban hammer will suffice. However it is a much more serious situation-- contact Stooge, tell him of the situation, and if not Stooge himself a Super Admin or someone with a proper administrative rank within the server. I cannot do much other than grab the Steam profile of the user who's making the threats and ban the said user, and seeing as it is Stooges' server, I'd feel it best for him to be notified if I feel that the threats are genuine. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? Suggest, without antagonizing either party, that they leave it till after the debrief and think it best to remind them that they both are in positions of power that other users look up to, and take it to a location and chat where nobody else will be dragged into it. If I find out that it's server related, aka. someone abusing their position, giving unfair treatment to lower users, climbswep abusing or anything that a moderator within my power is able to sort out, I'll act accordingly; but if it is personal issues, I'll push my point without antagonizing them to the best of my abilities that I don't think either of them want to cause any lasting damage with this and as such should try sort their differences out in private. Muting and pulling the both of them out of debrief only when absolutely necessary as it is debrief. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? Get him back to the training room, let him know that he isn't supposed to leave the room so he cannot say that he wasn't told despite signs being up, comms in that a SGT+ should report to the training room, oversee it if I've the time, let the SGT+ know to message me immediately if the Cadet acts up as I may very well not be able to oversee the training as I've other priorities concerning moderating the server. Just because someone seems a bit mingey, doesn't mean he shouldn't be given a chance; if he blows that chance it's on him, however it's not something that moderators should dictate as even the more frequent users of the server have been known to minge from time to time-- it's only human to want a little fun. But the point remains that the SGT+ should be notified to contact another moderator if not myself, if the Cadet acts up providing the suspicion is warranted and earned. Nobody enjoys dealing with minges, but everybody deserves one chance providing they aren't out to any extremes.
  12. Demo's Mod Application Do you use Teamspeak and are you willing to get on it more? I use teamspeak everyday and I am on teamspeak more than I play the server. Do you enjoy helping other people? Of course, I wouldn't be applying for moderator if I didn't. Being a moderator is one way of giving back to what the community has given to me. Are you willing to test your stress? I am always finding ways to test myself and/or better myself. The challenges I would face as a mod would be stress and rage inducing but I feel as a relatively calm person I can move past it. Do you have over 20 hours? If so, list your hours. I have a Little over 300 hours on the server, and am quickly adding to that everyday. Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? There will always be new and different ways to approach certain situations, the key is to find the most professional and efficient way to deal with it. Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? That Remi guy never comes on... nah, All jokes aside I feel I have a decent relationship with the majority of Staff and i'm not on bad terms with any (as far as I know). Requirements Steam Requirements: Steam Profile STEAM_0:0:28432016 Current in game alias: Demo/ARC Trainee 72 How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): I would say around 7, The majority of older players should know me by now. How will you becoming a moderator impact on the community? Well I wouldn't be making this Moderator Application if I felt that I didn't have enough to bring to the community. My role as a moderator would be primarily creating a safer/more enjoyable place for everyone, improve response times on tickets and increase player satisfaction. There are always places to improve and becoming a moderator would not only impact the server for the greater good but make myself a better player and prepare myself for the future. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? I use the teamspeak every single day regardless if I am playing the server or not. Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? I would quickly !strip <player> after seeing and or hearing the RDMing and insults before !noclip to a quiet area of the ship/event map and !jailtp <player> before interrogating the player and assessing the situation, regardless of the players excuses and complaints I would use my judgement to explain what rules he or she has broken and how they are going to be punished. Main methods would include either !warn <Player> <RDM'ing and Verbally abusing players and staff> or !kick/!ban <player> <x amount of minutes>. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? Calm the Accusers by saying you're looking into it !cloak and !noclip and search for the Defendant, once finding them I would observe their behavior, if any rules are broken I would deal appropriate penalties and return to the group explaining whats happened. However if the Defendant is caught doing nothing wrong I would !pm <Defendant> "I have been advised you were breaking rule X and rule Y" Judging from the Defendants response I would gather both sides of the story individually and base my judgement on if the stories coincide and !warn <user> <Breaking rule X and/or Y> or let them off with verbal warnings and keep mental tabs on both parties. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? If I overheard this I would Immediately !kick <user> the accuser before steam messaging an Admin+ and waiting to see if the accuser reconnects, if they reconnects, instantly !jailtp <user> in a quite location and Interrogate him/her with a admin+ to see why they made such threats and if they are going through with it or not. If any more threats are made !ban <user> 10080 (1 week) and letting the admin proceed further with if they feel the need to. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing infront of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? Trusting my own judgement I would !bring <Commander> and !bring <Lieutenant> to a quiet room nearby (Cafeteria) and ask both players to quiet down and speak 1 at a time. I would listen to each side of the story and depending on how serious the argument is I would issue verbal warnings saying "The front of debrief isn't the place to be doing such things" or resolve the argument and let both members get on their way. 5. A Cadet has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? If I catch a cadet roaming and/or mining I would !noclip to the cadet room and !bring <cadet> I would give them a stern last chance warning and depending on my rank either train the Cadet myself or get someone I know well who can train whilst I watch. If the Cadet continues to minge I would !kick <cadet> and continue with what I was doing, if the Cadet reconnects I would !goto <cadet> and give them their final warning and letting them know next time is a ban before repeating the last process and watching once again.
  13. Checklist: Do you use Teamspeak and are you willing to get on it more? I use teamspeak everyday and I can use it as often as I possibly can. Do you enjoy helping other people? I enjoy helping others when I can as it helps you make friends and have good relationships with others when and wherever possible. Are you willing to test your stress? Yes I am willing to test my stress so I can be able to see where my limits would be and how I would be able to handle extremely stressful situations and to learn how you can create or learn new ways to handle the stress. Do you have over 20 hours? If so, list your hours. 310.1 Hours Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? Yes I am willing to learn as I believe that if you have multiple ways to handle situations you are able to handle the situation in a unique more useful way as you can use a different method than others may use and it can be more effective. Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? No I currently do not have any problems with any staff. Requirements: Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:77956613 Steam Profile Link: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198116178954/ Current in game alias: Padawan Hal Shino, Warrant Officer Hawke and SGT 2626 Rogue How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): 6 or 7. How will you becoming a moderator impact on the community? I am generally very active and listen to everyone who needs help and I make time to help others. I would follow the facts in a situation over bonds as the biased staff would not last long and have an unfair advantage over others. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? Pretty much everyday with the occasional day when I have life problems. I tend to stick around the 7th Sky Corps channel but occasionally change when the situation arises. Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? I pull the user aside and ask why they did it and why they think it was right. I speak to the others who were involved and ask what they did or know about the incident. I !warn the user and if they continue their actions and behaviour I would then !kick them. If the user rejoined and continued I would then !ban them and tell them to apply on the forums to be unbanned. If their stories co-relate I then look for the user to see if they're still online or who their CO (Commanding Officer) is. If the user is online I ask them why they broke the rules and what they expected to gain from it. I would !warn the user for their previous actions and tell them not to do it again. If the user continues their behaviour I would !kick them. If the user rejoins and continues their previous actions I would then give them a temporary !ban. If the User was not online but was part of a regiment I would talk to their CO and see if they had any previous incidents of a similar kind. I then talk to the CO about the consequences of the users actions and give them a warn. If the user logs on and continues their actions I would !kick them. If the user rejoined and continued I would then !ban them and tell them to apply on the forums to be unbanned. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? I would instantly perma !ban the user as Gateway Gaming take threats to the server such as Ddos very seriously and that if they ever wanted to play on the server again or to explain their actions either contact a higher staff member or apply on the forums to be unbanned. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing infront of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? Remove both officers from the room and ask what the context to their argument is/was. I would then take both users to a private location and hear their sides of the story while using !gag on the other so I can hear their individual sides of the story and react to what the severity of what the situation was. Depending on the severity of the situation I would !warn them both as they both broke the rules and if the situation was severe enough I would either !kick or !ban them. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? I would keep the cadet within the training room and call a SGT+ in to come and train them. I would tell the cadet the rules and that if they kept minging I would either !warn, !kick or !ban them. If the cadet kept minging I would follow through with a !warn. I they kept minging after the warn I would !kick them and explain that they had been warned and told to stop. If the cadet rejoined and started to minge again I would !ban them and then explain what they did wrong and that if they wanted to be unbanned they would have to apply on the forums for it.
  14. Checklist: Do you use Teamspeak and are you willing to get on it more? Yes I do use Teamspeak and I am willing to become much more active on it. Do you enjoy helping other people? I sure do. Helping people just never gets old. Not only is it one of my passions to help others, but meeting new people is also one of my passions. Whilst I do help out others, I am as serious as I do believe I need to be. If I do see a ticket pop up, I will simply teleport to them (!goto 'name') and ask what they would like. If it is related to a player breaking a rule, I will cloak my self (!cloak ^), noclip myself (!noclip) and make my way to a quiet area and bring the rule breaker and the reporter to me (!bring 'name'). If they are simply asking for tools, I would ask them politely why they would like the tools, and if it is an exceptional reason, I will give the tools to them. (!give @ weapon_physgun) (!give @ gmod_tool). Are you willing to test your stress? I am always willing to try/learn new things. My capability of handling stress is satisfactory. I am able to sustain a good emotional state in any event. Do you have over 20 hours? If so, list your hours. From what I have worked out, I have around 120 hours. I am becoming more and more active though. Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? As I said before, I am always willing to try/learn new things. From my past experience as staff members on multiple other servers, I have been taught multiple other ways to handle situations and every server has a different way of handling issues. Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? I currently do not. I believe the decisions the staff manager(s) have been making are great decisions. Requirements: Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:58546059 Steam Profile Link: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Just_Billeh/ Current in game alias: RC 2466 Claw Padawan Billeh Petty Officer Int Warrant Officer Atomic How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): 8. I do believe that many people do know me, but I am not the most popular person on Gateway. How will you becoming a moderator impact on the community? The amount of way I could impact the community is insane. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a very humorous teenager with a highly mature attitude. Me joining the Gateway Gaming Staff Team will impact everybody's attitude. I am able to bring a smile to many faces. Not only can I be humorous, but I can be mature when needed. I do know when the right and wrong time is to crack a joke and I do understand the times when I do have to be mature. Now that you do know a bit about me, let me continue with how I can impact the community. When a ticket does come through, I am always in joy. Helping out is like one of my hobbies. Not only do I love doing it, but I do a good job of it. I know what, and what not to say. I know what punishment they deserve. I know why they deserve the punishment they are receiving, and I know how to give it to them. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? Currently I am active on the Gateway Gaming Teamspeak. Situations: 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? First of all I would stop what I am doing and JailTP the rule breaker (!jailtp 'name'). If they continue to insult players/speak whilst they are jailed, I will gag them (!gag 'name'). If the player that I have jailed continues to shoot at myself and other players I will simply strip him (!strip 'name'). After I have him detained and unable to harm others, I will bring the person/people that have reported this player for breaking the rules, and ask them to explain to me what happened in detail. If the player has been RDMing and insulting others, I will ban them for 1 day with the reason: "RDM x "How many players they have killed" | Insulting other players" (!ban 'name' 1440 RDM x "How many players they have killed" | Insulting other players"). After I have dealt with this rule breaker, I will return all the players I have brought (!return @") and go back to what I was doing. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? I will firstly explain to the users that have confronted me that "I can not take immediate action as I do not currently have enough evidence. If you do see this user breaking any more rules, use !ticket or Page Up and report them to me. After I have explained this to them, I will spectate the user that they have reported to me (!spectate 'name') and see what is going on. If the user that is reported as a "Rule Breaker" does not seem to be breaking any rules and is RPing nicely, I will leave him be and wait for any more reports that come through. If the user does continue to RDM and Climb Swep Abuse, I will bring them to me (!bring 'name') and explain to them what they have done. Depending on the severity of the rules they have been breaking, I will punish them accordingly. If they have been Mass RDMing and Climb Swep Abusing, I will ban them for 2 days (!ban 'name' 2880 Mass RDM | Climb Swep Abuse | No intent to RP). If they have RDM'd 1-2 people and Climb Swep Abused, I will ban them for 1 day (!ban 'name' 1440 RDM | Climb Swep Abuse). I will report this player to other staff members and request for them to keep an eye on them. If after the ban they come back, and I notice more people reporting him or I see him breaking rules, I will punish him accordingly. (!ban 'name' 10080 Climb Swep Abuse | Mass RDM | Already banned once | Came back and did it again) 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? No question about it, I would instantly permanently ban the user that has threatened to Ddos the server as this is an illegal offence. (!ban 'name' 0 Threatening to Ddos the server). 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing infront of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? I would bring both of the victims (!bring 'name') to a much quieter area and listen to the argument. If the argument is staff related, I will step into the argument and request them to calm it down. I will ask both users what their point of view of the argument is, and depending on what I believe the punishment is that they deserve, that is the punishment that they will receive. If the argument is so out of character to the point they are minging, I will talk to a higher up staff member and question them if I should demote them to a lower clone rank as they are not mature enough to be in the rank they are in. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? I would teleport to him (!goto 'name') and have a serious talk with him. I would explain to him that if he does want to be aloud/able to play on Gateway Gaming he will need to roleplay and if he is asking for a ban, I am sure enough willing to give him one. I will teleport him back to the training room (!bring 'name') and request someone to train him. During his training, I will spectate the so called "Minge" (!spectate 'name') and see if he really is a minge. If I do see him minging and not listening to his trainer, I will warn him for "Minge" (!warn 'name' Minge) and teleport to him (!goto 'name'). I would say to him "This is your final warning. If I see you minging one more time, the consequences will be raised, do you understand?" I would return myself (!return ^) and go back to spectating him (!spectate 'name'). If I notice him minging again, I would ban him for a week as I have warned him multiple times (!ban 'name' 10080 Minge | Has had multiple warnings). Sincerely, Billeh.
