  1. Hello fellow Forum Traveller, tis' I. Warrant Officer 1140 Fixer. With the revival of Aquila and Delta Going strong, I was thinking that we could maybe bring back the RC Advisor. Now, I know that we recently got rid of it a few months ago or whatnot, but I think that with things like the Clone Instructor, it could serve a purpose. Positives: It is good for passive RP on ship and off ship Brings another job opportunity for players Gives RC Squads a more defined command structure Negatives: It is a job that requires knowledge and dedication It can't just be a casual thing as it relies on lore knowledge etc Im open to any and all feedback on this topic. I want to be Senior event staff because I feel like I can be more helpful to the community and wish to assist in the training of new event staff for the benefit of the server. Do you feel you have the capabilities to ensure the organization and consistency of the event team? I believe I have the ability to organize and arrange the event team to a higher standard. I believe I can create a consistent flow of events between the team and make events more enjoyable for all involved, players and staff alike. What skills do you have that will assist you in this position? I have my time as an EM from Gateway and previous experience in a high position among other EMs in a previous community. What do you currently feel to be the biggest issues with your own events? I believe my occasional issue with talking to the players during briefing and debriefing to be my biggest fault. What sets your events apart from that of the other event staff? My ability to improvise a solution to issues created during my events. If something goes against my plan, I can incorporate it smoothly into the event. Situations: 1. You book the first event slot and, upon completing it, you notice that no other event staff have booked the other slots. Explain how you would handle this. I Would Contact any current event staff online at the time and see if they are able to take the slot. Failing that, I would take the next slot to keep the flow of events consistent. If no one shows up I will do the event. If by the end of the second event someone is available for the final Event I will ask them to complete it. 2. A new event staff begins booking slots, you notice that they do not change the color of their slots and forget to list down the maps they use. How would you resolve this? I would pull them aside and explain the booking system to them again, and show them an example of booking events properly so they could follow the example. 3. You notice that a specific regiment on the server has been ignoring all orders you give during an event for about a week or so, what do you do? I would contact the leader of the regiment and question him why he is ignoring me, once I understand the situation I will remedy the issue. 4. Two Event Staff are having a heated argument about a slot that one of the EMs allegedly stole after it was already booked by the other, both of them contact you complaining about the situation. How would you handle this? I would question each of them separately and gain more information about the situation. I will attempt to ask other Event staff what they saw and I will question of people who have access to the document to see who stole the slot from who. Failing that, I will attempt to mediate a compromise between them, for example, Trading other booked event slots so each EM is happy with their booked event times. Tasks: 1. Outline the process of training you would provide to a new event staff who has just been accepted into the position. I would begin with showing them the basic use of tools associated with running events, including NPC Tools and Advanced duplicator 2 I would then walk them through the preparation structure of the time pre-event including the construction of bases, the placements of LAATs on the Venator and the briefing/debriefing structure I would instruct them on the use of the menu system (!menu) and all of its functions, I would also brief them on the relevant chat commands involved [!buddha, !hp, !tp, etc] I would then run an event with them in my Teamspeak channel, as I run the event, I will explain to them the structure of the event and the important parts of events that you must pay attention too, objectives and Event Characters for example Next, they would run an event and I would be there actively assisting in their event setup and during the event. Afterward, I would explain any mistakes they may have made and work with them until they understand the full scope of event creation and make limited errors Once I was confident in their ability I would take a step back and help them from a distance 2. Briefly design a potential event staff challenge that you feel would be beneficial for the event staff to complete, explain why you believe so. Challenge: Use Friendly non-clone NPCs on a large scale, [iE] Create an event where we settle a dispute between to militia factions on a planet using an extensive amount of roleplay and friendly NPCs 3.   3. [COLOR=#ffffff][B]Phase II.[/B][/COLOR] [COLOR=#ffffff]Phase I pfft how original. I have been thinking of ways to spice up Gateway and Bring back all the children back to the server. Recently I had been doing some investigating on other Clone Wars and Star Wars server in general and had found some major differences in other Major parties. One being Cancer Battlefield 2 models, and other being Phase II. As well as updated variants of Tab, F4, Hud menus the thing that stood out to me most was, of course, the models... although I do like Phase I (I enjoy the simple stuff in life, like Alcohol, Boobies, Steamed hams, and fast Cars) with the new community and player base always evolving and changing. [B]WE [/B]Gateway Gaming are becoming slowly a thing of the past creeping towards a what seems at the moment imminent. We can all deny it as much as we like it and say the server has been through worse. But this is a state of emergency [B](Not Really) [/B] We need to spice things up and look towards the player base, @Stooge I understand you do not like Phase II and do not want them implemented But maybe it is what we need. Above that, I am not sure on the real reason why they won't get added I've only heard rumours. Above that Fact, there have already been a Large amount of Phase II models added, and I'm sure with the number of modellers we have in the community it wouldn't be an Extremely long or hard task to get them rolled over to Phase II. I understand the fact of money, but of course, I would be willing to Financially assist for the good of the server. I all so have this to say, as well as some other mumbo jumbo.[/COLOR] Every New player / 2nd new player joins and asks if this is Phase II. And for the ones who don't ask is because they never joined the server in the first place. I'm certain they went straight to the server that had "Phase II" in the title name.. Now my final question. Do you use our Team speak server often: I mainly use the TeamSpeak for in-game purposes such as talking to other members of the regiment, I used to use it a lot back when the galaxies server was running. Situations In order to be apart of the Staff team, you are required to have basic problem solving skills. The following scenarios are required to be honestly answered using detail and proper grammar. (HINT: Involve ULX commands in your answer e.g. !tp <USER>) 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? So the first thing to do in a situation like this is to find somewhere quiet and where you can talk one on one with the user (!noclip) preferably the top of the ship, once there you'd bring the user using the !bring (name), now you begin to talk to them, quite simply ask them the question "Do you want to be here ?" now they will take this as (A) I'm sorry for what I did, I actually really want to play on the server, if that is the case give them a stern verbal warning simply stating that if you do anything rule breaking again your gone or (B) they minge run away as soon as you bring them to you, if that is the case you'd use the !freeze (name) and take it to a higher up to evaluate, basically you'd get in contact with an admin or higher and say to them, I have tried to talk to him, he doesn't want to be here to RP, I suggest the removal of him from the server. 2. A group of users has confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise, they will leave the server. What do you do? So first off you'd begin by getting some evidence from the reporters, once you have done that and the evidence looks promising you'd !noclip you way to a quiet place (preferably the top of the ship) you'd then proceed to !bring (name) the players accused of breaking rules, you'd ask them their side of the story see what they have to say, if they tell you the truth you can issue them a verbal warning, if they start to lie and say they did nothing then you show the evidence, if they still proceed to think it is a joke then you'd contact a superior and get their opinion on what should be done. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? So the first thing that I would do in a situation like this is contact higher-up member of staff, you'd tell them the situation on what is going on, you send the logs of the person(s) saying it, while you do this I'd start gathering some information on the person first by grabbing there steam profile, now at this point you have gotten everything, now you want to talk to the person about the accusations, I'd !noclip my way to the top of the ship, once there I'd use the !bring (name) the player to me, I wouldn't freeze him unless he were to start running away, so I'd begin to talk to the person, asking them questions like "Why are you threatening the server." now they could take this two ways, (A) They begin to say the didn't mean it, they were only having a laugh, in the case of this you'd give them a ban about 2-3 hours, (B) They begin to scream into their mic, minge run away etc, if this is the case you'd use the !freeze (name) command to stop them in their tracks, you'd then give them a ban of 1-2 days (!ban (name) (1 day=1440) (2 days= 2880) http://gatewaygaming.net.au/forums/viewforum.php?f=111) now after doing this you'd contact the higher ups and say that you tried to speak with the person and they didn't want to listen so you issues the ban, now the higher-up now can make the choice to extend the ban for a longer duration of time, or even permanent. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing infront of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? So you'd use !noclip to make your way to somewhere quite and away from everyone( top of the ship) you'd proceed to !bring(name) both the players to you, you'd then proceed to talk to them asking them questions like what it was about and why they did it, now if they are still arguing at this point you'd !gag both of them and !ungag one at a time, now you'd tell them that what happened in the debrief is never to happened again, you'd remind them that they are in the position they are due to the maturity they have shown, once they understand this you'd tell them that if it were to happen again you would have to take it further to a kick or even a ban. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? So you'd start of by putting a message in /ooc stating for a SGT or higher to the training room, if no one responds to the request you'd find a SGT or higher who isn't busy and inform them that you want them in the training room immediately, now since you still have the suspicion that they could just be a minge and not here to roleplay so you'd use the !noclip and !cloak command and make your way to the training room, I'd sit and watch the whole training, if I thought he was just here to minge I'd kick him off the server (!kick (name) Reason: Come back with a better attitude.), now if they were breaking rules I'd issues the ban occurdingly

Jedi may be trained in push and pull, that has been said, but, our basically "demo 1 dosnt even have access to push and pull(but dose to other things that are required to be trained as well) , so my suggestion is giving all jedi, a light saber upgrade, to a level where we have access to the powers in which we can be trained in. I have been meaning to bring this up since day 1 of the new system and I have finally gotten around to it.
  6. SO! We all want keys for they are SHINY and Powerful. But how should we give them out? Maybe after campaign. Regimental leaders currently on come up before player of the week. and each announce their best performing trooper of the campaign to come up and get lets say 2 keys. Just a thought.

I have an idea for something that we can do on certain days...Kamino, IF everyone agrees to this I will be happy <3, Anyways to the point, I have been on the Kamino map a lot lately and have realized that it is, in fact, a great map! I don't know about the whole LAAT system tho...so it might have to be fixed in some way, plz take this into consideration.
  8. Considering in our ranking system, we have General which is considered a "four-star" rank, I was thinking adding a five star general rank called "Field Marshal". Since this isn't an active rank in the Australian Army, this could be a super hard rank to get and EM's could use it for their characters.

So myself and a few others have thought about some of the NPC's that are used in events and we believe that there could be some more types added towards the server allowing players to verse different enemies rather then your standard antlions. Do you understand that most events rely mainly on improvisation and mainly nothing goes to plan (ever): Yes, I understand I cannot force stuff to happen but I hope that the players know how to create RP if It doesn't go how its meant to or I Get on my toes and think of a way to save the event. An event doesn't go to plan and General Grievous is crushed by an elevator. Players are laughing at you. What do you do? I would laugh along for about a miniute or so, but then I would say that he escaped before the elevator could properly kill him. 2. A user is bad mouthing your events. How do you react? I would wait untill the event is over and I do my debriefing and if they're still on then I would TP them ontop of the ship and ask them what i had done wrong and how I could improve my events. 3. You have to go AFK in the middle of an event you are running and there are no backups available. What should you have done to avoid this? I shouldv'e post poned my event and asked a other EM if they couldv'e taken it. If they couldn't then I would get a staff member admin+ who knows how to spawn droids and ect, to Fill in for me while I am afk. Event Map: gm_uldum2 Briefing: "Troopers, the sith have stolen some jedi holocrons and have fled to a planet called Jakku inside of there temple, we will have to go with the jedi to take there holocrons, there the jedi will focus the focus the force on the holocron and take it back, once we get out it is possible the sith may chase after us so get out of there back to the venator as soon as possible. " Stage 1: The troopers and Jedi have landed on the planet of Jakku, and have set foot to enter the sith temple, they have to fight there way through CIS to get down ther. Stage 2: Once the troopers are down in the temple, they will approach a Sith by the name of Asajj Ventress guarding the holocrons, the jedi will then engage combat with her weakening her making her escape. Stage 3: Once the jedi have taken the holocrons then They will need to escape, facing multiple CIS forces aswell as General Grevious. Stage 4: The troopers and Jedi engage the CIS and Grevious in open combat, they destroy all the CIS making Grevious once again escape using his ship. Debriefing: "Troopers, the Jedi have recoverd their holocrons back but grevious has escaped, We will be tracking his ship at once, I trust navy has it under control.   13. Events. Hi everyone its your favourite pain in the ass here, I've been thinking as of late how we can attract more players, and it hit me after doing some undercover work on other servers, Event slots!. Some servers host upto 3-5 Events a day and gives their player base something other then epic passive RP to look forward too. I notice on Weekends during "Peak" time our server can only contract anything from 12-28 players. Although that is a decent amount we have another 48-32 slots to fill. And that number is clearly larger then the First. After multiple interviews and questions about events in the past i found that the majority of people i asked were a lot more keen on the idea of bringing back the 1pm slot on weekend, and if possible even keeping the current when ever the EM wants to host one slot there as well as it can be a little bit spontaneous and mischievous to get spanked with a late night event. STILL Weekends are "Prime" time and we get a lot more traffic over them, (Even magnus gets home from boarding school and jumps on his $10k PC to play the server). However instead of having this traffic pull up look at the menu and think eww gross im going to KFC and getting some greasy chicken to cure our hangovers. There are some points i would like to say before i continue on with this suggestion. Event Masters / maybe Lack of. Lack of campaigns and rewards for doing well in them. Event masters: although i think the apps for EM's still maybe open or not i feel as if majority of the reason we don't have this slot nor the other point campaigns is because there isn't really enough of them, I know everyone besides me and the other Gateway Gamers have real life issues to attend to but your leaving us all in the dust with our tail between our legs, There are the common Em's we see more then enough of Aussie, Sev, Maybe recently Omo. but there are others who we don't get to see so much of, i think that can affect the times and reason slots were cut back. Yet still this is only my opinion. Maybe we need some extra "Active" EM's. Another thing i know is there is Backup EM's but still there shouldn't really be a need to make this people run Events when we have the first EM's to do so anyway. Campaigns: I see this even though we had a campaign yesterday, still prior to that it was like a month gap. I know for a fact back in days when we were maxing 60 Players on weekends and weekdays we had pretty much campaigns every goddamn week, (Note; however im not saying the reason we don't hit those numbers is because of events so relax Loff . ) But there is other things like content and such which is being caught up to by other servers. It affects all of us when the player base is low, and it is 100x better to address all the issues affecting these then to suppress them. So campaigns i feel could become more frequent and i god damn know if a EM needed help building or a Event character your looking at the best Darkrp Gun Store builder in the district as well as the most dedicated RPer (Besides Omo) on the server. So besides me bringing this up im more than happy to help. And i know others are two . Although i stated in pretty much the last two points it is better to address then suppress, i think we should work on whatever we can to get our server back to its prime stage, and as a wise man once told me "We the community shape and encourage our server". I feel this could be a decent start to bringing back that new feel and give gateway a updated look. All so show that we really care about the server and spend a lot of time working as a Community / team to improve it. I all so encourage everyone if the Event master application slots are still open to go ahead and apply, don't feel shy or like you are going to get put down for something, everyone has ideas and i'm sure the majority of us have ideas for an event or two so go for it. Going back on all of this i know one of the hardest given roles within the server as of now is actually Event master in my opinion and i understand that is hard to set them up and keep people interested, yet you majority of you signed up for it and knew what it was going to be like. So get people like myself , i'm going to name some others but i'm not singling you out. (Snap, Flanks, Draa,) anyone in the community who wants to help to help because we are all here for each other........ This is only a suggestion so treat it as such and i hope you take my points and the peoples points into consideration, I hope something comes of this and it is not spat on. This is for the EM I know it's hard on a daily to make an event and I know you're trying to satisfy everyone else as best you can but it would be really nice to see if pilots could probably do some more stuff that would be better if we could fly or drive in the event. and I know as a pilot probably was not going to happen but I would like to see it change so Pilot's can do more. I'll give you some examples instead of using teleporters let pilots use LAATS and I understand when the skybox is quite small but I think most people can fly under the skybox and even giving them some other vehicles. as well as to giving us a side job and I know not all events will have a pilot's in the flying or driving in them I understand but try and fit some More in pls.and if you do give them to us give us some rules like if where a loud to shoot or not were you want us to go and stuff like that. that would be really helpful thanks. sorry for spelling talk to me if you don't under standed em thanks

From my last app being denied, it gave me the time to think and understand that I do give a fuck about this community and the server. On the day in question where I did get banned, I was being a real asshole to everyone and I really did deserve to get banned and that's what I got so now I am here to give reasons why I think I should be lawfully allowed back on the server again. I have had time to dwell on my thoughts and what I've been thinking is that I want to come back and contribute positively to the community through helping with the new cadets and leading the new cadets to be exemplary roleplayers being an exemplary roleplayer myself and just overall contributing to the community more. I understand with as of recent I have attempted to step up and accept more responsibility as a person and as a Senior Admin. I wish to be the person any staff member can come to and ask any question, from a question of how to handle a minge, or what ULX to use in a sit, all the way to telling me about abuse or someones being a minge. Why are you applying for this position?: It gives myself the opportunity to grow within the staff team and as a person, as well as assist within both staff team and executive staff team, as currently as a SA we aren't put into the Executive category and whilst that's fine I do wish to have a more recognised voice within the Senior / Executive area. Also myself achieving the rank of HA will help me learn new skills and give me the ability to adapt to different situations better than before that I'll be able to also use IRL. As well as help out any executive staff that may need advice / another opinion. Why should we choose you over other applicants?: I feel my experience helps me out a bit, whilst my intentions are pure. as well as there are no other applicants as of yet. But I do not think of myself higher then anyone else when it comes down to it, we are all equal, and feel who ever is going for the position probably deserves it. What are your ambitions or goals in this community?: My goals are really to help as many people as possible whether it be on TS, the forums, ingame or within the staff team. Whilst trying to make this community fun everyone. I want to learn from others as well as my own mistakes when they are made, and hopefully put any distrust aside and one day become a good Head Admin that people can confidently say like "go to him if you have an issue" or "His the guy to talk to". A long shot I know but I feel it will be worth it and possibly even a fun adventure to reach that point. Situations In order to be a head administrator, you need to have advanced problem solving skills and the capacity to manage difficult staff calls in a manner befitting the goals of the server. The following scenarios are required to be honestly answered using proper detail and grammar. Please include appropriate ULX commands and formats. 1. A staff member decides to leave the community and they post a farewell message, through this, they make some statements regarding the staff team that are quite negative. How would you handle this situation? Firstly see if they are on the community team speak, and ask to have a private convocation with them. Ask why they commented on the staff team or specific staff members in a negative way. I'd tell them that they might take offence to this and could intern damage their reputation as well as your own for making such remarks. Then I'd ask politely to change the response from negative statements on people they may dislike, to more positive responses to people they may have been friends with. 2. You are searching for a new administrator, there are currently two applications in that you feel are equally suitable for the role, however, the senior staff are only allowing youto take one for the time being. How would you decide between the two applicants? Their applications are suitable, and reputation good. I'd watch both ingame, see how they respond to different situations ingame and within the staff team. Depending on behaviour, activity (to an extent) and what the general player base feel about each of the candidates, as well as maybe a private conversation (Like an interview) with each admin, would determine who is more suitable. 3. An administrator receives multiple reports of abuse from the players and staff, however, none of these sources provide any evidence, how would you handle the situation fairly? "Innocent until proven guilty" Seeing as there is no evidence to prove ones guilt. The reports would have to be take into account but most likely wouldn't be acted apon to an extent (A common action taken would be a chat to the admin, find out if any are true and find out if the causations are false in general). But until evidence is provided or an overwhelming count of reports is issued.. The Admin would be closely watched. 4. If you were tasked with demoting someone from the staff team, how would you do so to ensure it is handled ethically and correctly? Depending on the reason of demotion. - Inactivity without warning or notice - Several messages, will be sent before hand and if it came to it. When they returned I would ask them to join a team speak channel with me and calmly talk to them about the actions I need to take and why it is all happening. Eventually leaving them demoted and most likely disappointed however satisfied that they had someone to comfort them into the truth. - Minging / Mass Abuse etc. 3 strikes would have been given witch is enough warning to give. A notice would be sent to them and like the other, I'd talk to them privately about what needs to happen. Make sure they understand why I need to do it and what is available for the future. (Obviously reapply at a later date when they feel mature enough to go for Tmod and work up the ranks again) 5. A new server manager is appointed and begins to make some questionable decisions regarding the direction of the staff team, despite your advice and warnings, they continue to make decisions that you personally disagree with. How would you handle this? I try talk to the SM privately, giving fair reasons against these actions and try find a middle ground, see if some arrangements can be made to fit everything in so everyone is happy. If met with hostility and tossed aside like a filthy sock, I'd go over his/her head to the Community Manager or Community Director. And discuss with them what's happening and why I disagree with it and discuss what shall be done. 6. The Community Director implements something that a majority of the staff team disagrees with, however, when approaching the CD, they are typically shunned, ignored and threatened. Some of the staff members are considering leaving the staff team due to this. How do you handle this situation? Approach the CD, and despite what is thrown at me, try make a civil conversation with them. Discuss whats happening with the staff members, why they want to leave due to the inappropriate actions that were given towards them by the CD. Attempt to resolve the situation as any other. If the CD does not want to help in any way shape or form. Contact the Community Manager(s) / Chief Of Staff and find a way to get through and resolve the issue. 7. A staff member is caught abusing their powers to get to and from areas quickly. How do you punish this staff member? Talk to the staff member, tell them no matter how easy it maybe it's not the correct way to use the powers given to them. Everyone does it at least once during their time as staff. A simple verbal warning is suitable for it. Continuing the abuse will result in strikes until no longer tolerated and a harsher punishment will be given to them. Tasks 1. Create an example admin challenge that you believe would be beneficial towards the development of the current staff team. After the first Staff meeting of the month, I would select different people in the TS and put them into groups of 2 - 3 depending on amount of people. The task would be to create a google doc of the group members, and after the meeting your group will do sits together when possible *any ticket other than the miscellaneous tickets such as tools, jet packs etc..* and during the month comment on what your members can do better in the staffing sits presented as well as what they did good with, once the month comes to a conclusion, during the final staff meeting each staff member can read their comments to the rest of the team (If they are comfortable with it) and then people can have an open floor to give any other comments, tricks and/or tips for improvement. 2. Create a list of all the staff ranks and explain their role in your own words. Put extra detail into what you believe the role and responsibilities of Head Admin will include. Tmod - To learn from a senior staff member the roles and responsibilities they are going to use when a moderator. Mod - Take the basic tickets such as tools, RDM, Minge / Rouge Cadet, etc. Senior Mod - With the same power as an admin, they oversee the moderator team and make sure they know what their doing as well as show them the different path ways moderators can proceed into in the staff team. As well as help during events. Admin - With the same powers as a Smod without supervising the moderator team. With added ULX commands such as spawning droids, spawning with tools, able to whitelist and give M9K weapons and help in events Senior Admin - Such as the Smod, the SAdmins oversee the admin team and make sure everything is running smoothly. Whilst being a Role model to younger staff members and a friendly ear to those who have questions / concerns about anything to do with staff or the server. Head Admin: Responsible for staff meetings unless a higher staff wish to take it, HA also has the responsibility of handing out punishments, and if necessary kicking out staff. Creating challenges for staff and still try to fulfill the base admin / Senior admin roles. They are also the main face and role model of the staff team and should speak closely with Senior admins and Senior mods to assist in a flexible and equal staff team. Highly important Staff Issues should be brought the Head Admin(s) who should fix staff issues if not ask for a SM / SA depending on issue area. Server Manager: Responsible of the sustainability of the server, fix it up when needed, and if required, be an unbias voice if HA / Senior Staff cannot decide on an issue. Chief of Staff: Responsible for all staff teams across entire servers, works closely with servers managers to make sure all staff are working perfectly. Community Manager: Completes tasks provided by the Community Director while checking with chief of staff and other server managers to make sure gateway as a whole is running smoothly Community Director: Similar to other server ranks such as owner. In charge of everything under the "Gateway Gaming" umbrella, making choices which benefit the community looking to the CM for choices to be fulfilled. Over this time I have also had the opportunity to play with multiple staff members, so from my personal opinion, I would say that on a scale of 1-10 of people knowing who I am, I would be sitting at a 8. How many hours on the server do you spend a day: With it currently being the holiday period, I attempt to make myself as active as I can. Currently, I would say I play for roughly 6 hours a day maybe leaning towards 7. How will you becoming a moderator impact on the community: Everyone has a different style when it comes to communicating with others. Myself, I enjoy talking to majority of the players on the server whether they are new or old. I believe, as a Moderator, I could benefit from this trait as if gives me a chance to relate to the players who feel as if they are being unfairly treated or are struggling to fit in with the player base. In all honesty, my sleeping pattern is all over the shot at the moment so I believe I could use this as an approach to being one of the staff members who can be on early in the morning and late at night for the players who still wish to do training or other miscellaneous activities. Do you use our Team speak server often: Currently, the Gateway Gaming TS3 is my main source for communication. Whether I am in a friends channel or my own. I am on for most of the day. 1. A user is RDMing and Insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? After receiving multiple messages or tickets through the new admin report system, I would quickly "!freeze {Suspect}" or "jail {Suspect}" the user so he cant cause any more harm to the player or players around him. With having the ability to "!noclip" I would move to a place more secluded where there would be very minimal players around so he could deliver his explanation for why he committed this act. After hearing what he has to say, if it was justified, I would bring the other player who was involved and explain to them both that what they are doing is not acceptable and if they are seen doing it again it will result in a further punishment. However, if he was doing it for pure enjoyment, I would "!ban {Suspect} {Time} {Message}" for a justified amount of time for a first offense being 30 minutes giving the user a chance to cool off and rethink their decision. However, if he was to return and continue to harass players or RDM them It would result in a permanent ban. 2. A group of users have confronted you and explain how another user was breaking some server rules earlier (RDMing and Climb Swep abusing). The users threaten that they want immediate action otherwise they will leave the server. What do you do? Before I take any action I would ask the users kindly for evidence of the situation, whether it be recordings or screenshots and ask them to post it on the forums where they can be reviewed by staff quickly. If this, however, didn't cause them to calm down, I would explain to them the sad reality that, unfortunately, these situations cant be dealt with immediately and that it will take time to review evidence and that they need to wait patiently. Now if they didn't have any sources of evidence, I would explain to them that I would keep a close eye on the player for any abuse that he may express towards other players and state that he will then be punished appropriately with a warning, "!kick {Suspect} {Message}", "!ban {Suspect} {Time} {Message}" depending on the severity of the issue.. 3. A user has threatened to Ddos and take down the server. What do you do? The act of "DDosing" is not acceptable in any circumstances. If a player was to threaten the server with a DDos attempt, I would quickly inform a higher ranking staff member who may or may not be online, supplying him with the users Steam Profile for further investigation and then quickly bring the user and ask him nicely for why he would want to do such a thing. If he expresses that it is a joke, I will say unfortunately with that being a serious offense, but seeing that you are second guessing your actions, I will ban you for a short amount of time (!ban {Suspect} {120} {DDos Threat} to think about what damage you could have caused. If he was serious however, I would explain to him that is not acceptable and to think about his actions over a permanent ban. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? I would "!gag" both users and wait for the mission briefing to finish and quietly bring them both to a secluded spot where I could get them to rethink their actions they expressed towards each other. I would !ungag each user one at a time allowing them to talk about the issue at hand and involve myself in it being the middle man of the situation giving my point of view and hoping that both parties can go their separate ways or makeup to an extent and continue playing on the server without any issues. After the situation has been solved, I would give both users a warning to explaining that the manner of how they decided to argue was unnecessary and just childish and that if it happens again they will be kicked or even banned to relax themselves. 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? After playing on Gateway Gaming for a long period of time, I have experienced first hand that NCO's try their hardest to avoid training Cadets so I can understand why the Cadets get impatient at times. I would advert requesting an NCO to the training to train the cadet otherwise, I will be picking someone to do so. Once someone decides to train the cadet and getting reports of the user minging, I would "!cloak" myself along with having myself in "!noclip" so I can spectate the user and make sure he wants to be on the server and not waste the time of other users. If it is clear the user is not on the server to play but only cause havoc, I will ban him for a short period of time "!ban {Suspect} {60} {No Intention to Play}" hoping that he will rethink his actions and come back to play on the server. However, if it is clear that he wishes to be on the server, I will oversee that he is whitelisted to the Clone Trooper role after his training is completed.

I either throw an insult at each other I will warn them and ask to apologies. if it gets out of hand i would mute the offender for one hour (!Mute {user} [1 hours] or !gag {user} [1 hours]). If insults continue after this mute period I would !bring them to me and warn them for what they have done before kicking them (!kick {user} [For repeated offences and/or abusive chat]). 3. If worse comes to worse I would ban him for 1-3 days (!ban {user} [24-72 hours] [For attempted DDOS and RDM and/or Abusive chat]) and notify the staff member i had communicated with previously that the user was banned. 4. I would tell them to act there rank ("You two are both high ranking trooper who are representations of this server so i suggest you two suck it up and act your rank"), if they continue to fight I would !bring them to the top of the ship to get them to explain the situation to me. I would then help them with whatever situation they have, if they continue to fight i would threaten to recommend them for a demotion. If the two continue to fight after i return them i would mute them for one hour until to give them time to cool down and realise there mistake (!mute {user} or !gag {user}). 5. A CR has been complaining and wondering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He seems like a minge to you and you're not sure if he is really here to play. What do you do? I would try to relate with the user and try to make the idea of being trained fun. If this player is far to much of a minge and refuses to communicate I would proceed to mute him (!mute {user}) and pick him up with a physics gun. I would then proceed to train him myself or if i'm busy i would call a SGT+ to train him. If he refuses to comply I would proceed to warn them of the action and tell them to behave. e.g. ("If could kindly act more mature. yes we do want to have fun here but we also need to keep it organised"). if things proceed to worsen i would use the same method of approach as situation 1 to deal with the problem. My suggestion is that we change our models to Phase 2 clone armour as well as the pilots (Invasion of Scipio era) to Phase 2 I find that with this we can fit a lot more body groups onto our models adding an aspect of customization for all our members. I personally like the Phase 2 armour compared to our current armour (Phase 1) I also believe that if we do this we could have more jobs to use as well as have lore chars in certain regiments. example: Tup in 501st and Hawk in whatever the reg he is in (104th?) Keep in mind this is only a suggestion but it would be good to take it into consideration.

  23. Hey guys, thought I'd throw this out there. This is also mainly for me because Stooge and Spooks won't add everything I make to the server because its unnecessary (quite obviously, models are quick to make and can take up a lot of space in content packs.) I'll get back to the main point, I want to be suggested some models to make. I don't really have that many ideas on what to do, this is sort of just a way for the community to reach out and tell me what they got made. This is also a promotional thing for the Development team @Beatroot and @Simba are putting together. So, some examples of what you can ask for because I'm not doing personal models. An example is "Can you make a 501st model with a green square here, here and here?" I'd rather do something that benefits a wide community. So, some examples of what I'm thinking of doing at the moment are. - Regimental ARF with face shields (like hound) - Regimental Phase 1 Airborne - Lore-Friendly 501st Models. I don't know if anyone wants to see anything for the community, but I thought I'd put it out there that I genuinely enjoy making models and I've got no one asking for commissions at the moment and I'd like some other ideas on what you guys want to see made. Staff can keep track of who did what pretty much, they can search up each user and what they have done or what has happen to them. It will all so make those Perm bans for people who mass RDM and quickly leave a lot easier to handle as it keeps track of everyone who joins and disconnects all so. The one i am about to suggest has a ticket system added into it so we could clear the previous one all together and save some Memory for the server. [B][S]-F3 / F8 Menu Keys.[/S][/B] [S]So this is already a part of the server but has never been used properly to my understanding. I'm not even sure if the weapon skins you can buy stick to the gun or show up. Anyway People have always been asking on how to get keys. i know they used to hand them out for those who did good in campaigns as well as player of the week. I think it is good and gives those who have already ranked up or done want they wanted to achieve something else to work on. I would like to see them get handed out more and i know most of the people i asked about them do too.[/S] [B]-F4 and TAB Menu.[/B] All though they are nice and simple. they seem a little outdated and boring coming of the current age. A lot of our player base is that of the younger generation and i think it is more appealing if they hit the F4 button and see something that looks appealing to the Eye. (F4 menu wasn't as widely suggested as TAB menu.) The TAB menu is simple but lack little interface. I currently do not have a suggestion for these on what to use as there is too many and im stumped for options. [B]If anyone has anyone has any ideas on what to use please Comment a link to what you would like to see and i'll add it to this Post. -Script to Ease up on lag.[/B] I understand the server is already overflowing with junk but maybe it needs a bit of a clean out. I think this is a great idea and it was mentioned by Ulrik. It would simmer down client side lag as well as their connection to the server. it would make it easier for new player to learn and interact in-game. ( Lots of new players struggle learning climb swep or hearing others due to the Lag that can occur). That being said the game is ancient and a bit of lag should be torrelable. Still a valid suggestion. [B]-Defcon System.[/B] This is already in the game and RP side of things. I know it was used frequently in the past and should still to this day. I still need to get everyones opinion on this and Will bring it up in a commanders meeting to see what they think as well. It should be enforced by myself (CG) and the Navy. As i stated before i will get everyones opinion on this one more time before i try to enforce it. [B]-DC-17 Dualies.[/B] For all of those who were present back in the golden age you will remember the immense power these bad boys packed. I felt it was fiting as only Officers had them and it made them look like a total badass. It all so gives people another reason to get to those officer ranks as they would turn you into the ultimate weapon. It wouldn't house any negative effect nor make it unfair for others because they are still a hard weapon to use. He stated it is semi hard to use the current stacker as it does not have many options on how to place things or "Stack" Things. A few more people mentioned to me today about adding different types of grenades to the server. I thought this to be interesting and more Immersive so i had a look around and stumbled across a addon. I thought all the current classes with the Grenade could be swapped over to this.
