  1. The Sterilisation of Geonosis Backstory The Geonosians have been for a long time, a vile score on the galaxy. Their secluded ways of life on the rocky planet of Geonosis has come to the attention of Imperial Command. They know too much, says Command. They can reveal what must not be revealed. These creatures have served their purpose in the galaxy and the Empire must decide to rid their burden. Their species - the Geonosian - is nothing but mindless insectoids which must be stopped, no matter the method, they will all die. Many will fight against the Empire, some would say resist. However, we know they will fail. The Empire is strong. Long live the Empire. Command Transmission Campaign Details The campaign will start at 2:30pm AEST on Saturday the 19th of June with the deployment to Geonosis. The campaign will be in three (3) stages which are split out into different maps and objectives. Approx: (1) 2:30pm (2) 5:00pm (3) 8:00pm. Different objectives will be given to regiments based on their attendance and purposes. There is a focus on shooting this campaign with the story elements included through clues and passive RP. This is a joint effort of Sloth, Max, and myself. Hope to see you all there!
  2. Over the past month or so I have noticed there is a possibility to add more content for events, building or general immersion for the server. I give you a list of my suggestions in hope they get looked over then accepted / declined by management. Please refer to the addons by the numbers to make it easier to understand. Feel free to give your suggestions too. My suggestions: [1] Star Wars Civilians Has various models and npcs for the EMs / ECs to use. They come with multiple bodygroups so they can be more adapted to the situation eg. a village full of civilians looks weird everyone looking the same, however with this you may change it more than the current robe/skin colour. This pack comes with multiple others attached and I think it would be good to have them. This is the addon I am most interested in adding. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1688784363 [2] Star Wars - Imperial Remnant Propaganda Posters for propaganda. Currently we have a really good pack of propaganda for use, however this pack also contains rebellion / anti-Empire statements. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2397674436 [3] Star Wars Flags & Banners As the name suggests, has flags and banners of various groups. Currently, there are limited options to show the group has control over the area other than just stating it. Would be nice to show not tell. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=628120855 [4] Star Wars: Forces Of Corruption Pack More ships to use in events other than the classic blockade runner or trandoshian ship. Primary use is for the Zann Consortium which I started an event story back a little ago but it would be nice to have these fit with the group. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=899801989 [5] Star Wars CWA : Misc Props Small pack but it has nice props which can be used for bunks / events. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=893317074 [6] Star Wars: Tusken Hut Prop Tusken Hut is very important for the best map ever: rp_tatooine_dunesea_v1. We have Tuskens but they don't have huts. Makes 0 sense. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=660147386 [7] Dynamic Height + Crouch Fix Adjusts view height based on your model height. Can be used for DT / 9th Sister / ECs. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2160669896 Thank you.
  3. You are a legend Andy and it's really sad to see you go. I really only got to talk with you a lot during my EM days then eventually in ISB. I have learnt so much from you in ISB and it was always great fun chatting about random things. Even though short in time, I am fond of these memories and wish you the best for what comes next in your life. You will always be remembered in Gateway.
  4. Thank you for attending our campaign. Was excellent. Great fun was had in the EM TS. Hopefully you all had similar. Also, massive shoutout to @Exile, @Brother Rein and Flint who helped throughout. Without them, a lot of what happened couldn't have. Even larger shoutout to @Slothand @Noc for assisting.
  5. The Trial of Advisor Jieves Backstory Jieves, the long serving Advisor of both the glorious Empire and the fallen Galactic Republic, has been caught up in legal issues. Whilst on mission through the city of Mos Vesda, his life changed. His mission, to remove the threat of insurgency and rebellious activity meant moving through the city conducting civilian checks, in addition to searching and questioning locals to determine intel. After becoming tired of consistent failure in these standard methods, he grouped the civilians at the city centre. The Advisor proceeded to threaten and cause terror to the innocence, many unsure of the issue given in his speech. His orders unclear to the remaining troopers caused the fatality of innocents with significant counts of related injuries. This plan luckily worked for the Advisor, causing the insurgency to make their presence known to the Imperial force who quickly cleared them out, securing the city. In the mayhem, 47 civilians perished on that day with 23 injuries among the other innocent. These actions using terror against the citizens of Mos Vesda - men, women and children alike - resulted in the removal of Jieves' position in the Advisory by ISB Command. Jieves remains in prison awaiting his trial in the city of Coruscant. Command Transmission Campaign Details This campaign will start at the 5:30pm AEST event on Wednesday with the transfer to Coruscant. We will be remaining on Coruscant until the 8:30pm AEST event begins which will be transferring to another map following the story of Jieves. The primary incident will be the court case of Jieves conducted by the members of Regional Government with the assistance of security personnel. All other regiments will be assigned roles throughout the campaign, whether it be quelling the uprising citizens or stopping something more sinister. Passive RP will be a focus with the addition of shooting when required .. hopefully not more civilians. This is a joint effort of Sloth (Jieves), Noc, and myself. Hope to see you all there!
  6. Although new to PAC3 I think these examples are a good use for RP and your character in game. Once you learn a bit more you will definitely help express RP better in your own way. +1

  8. I'm so sad right now. I enjoyed when you were around. Wish you the best with grade 12
  9. Looks great Mr Root. Picture perfect of your ingame. However, he would be 10 rn if he was born in 16BBY.
  10. Hi Beast, I have a few points to ask from you about the application. First, I would like to talk over the following quotes from you: & I see those 2 questions going hand with relation to how to adapt to the situation. A plan as you say is definitely the best way to work with events, the players and by extension, the events, don't always go the exact way of the plan. As Santa said, people don't listen to everything nor understand certain nuances of your plan which ties it all together. This brings it back to improvisation which can be used to ensure the event can go similar to as you plan but just with adjustments to the situation. eg. someone decides to kill the EC instead of detaining them as you said, you wouldn't bring the EC back, you would go with it. Furthermore, the Kanan Jarrus situation could possibly be handled IC which requires improvisation. Although players may laugh and criticise, this relates to how you answered this question: Criticism may be annoying in the moment, eg. people making fun of you during your event, but that not mean all feedback should be pushed to the wayside. All feedback should be taken and you adopt those which you think is necessary to help you do better or different next time, which is what you said. Therefore, I like the answer you have there. I won't touch on the tools nor event since others have gone over those topics above. I do want to say it looks like you have had experience in the role before from your HEM time on a different server so I believe you'll do just fine if given a chance. I would just like to hear back about the topics presented by myself and others but for now, I'll be giving you a: +1 After seeing that the event is a blatant rip off, I am -1ing.
  11. Do you have Teamspeak 3 installed? Yes Are you willing to test your stress? Yes What is your age? (Minimum of 14 years of age.) 21 List your current playtime: 234 Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? Yes Do you have any active warns? No Do you have any problems with any of our current staff members? No Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:62251327 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/steamcommunity_dot_com_slash_id/ Current in-game alias/rank: Colonel Y.Hall Previous Notable Names/Ranks/Positions 91st CO. Medical Officer Yorus. CG BARC Hall. 717th CO. ISB CO. How known are you on a scale of 1-10? 7 How will you bring new and creative event ideas to the server?: Bring a greater story aspect to events which allows for different regiments to RP according to their roles. Have you participated in many of our Events?: Yes, many. Are you familiar with Gmod's wide range of NPC tools? (Provide examples): I haven't used the NPC tools before. I will need to be taught. Name 3 tools that are at an Event Masters disposal within events and leave a small comment detailing each of their uses: 1. Turbolaser Tool: Allows ship turbolaser volleys to be used against other ships/players when in a situation which involves air to ground attacks. 2. Advanced Dupe 2: Allows me to spawn in premade creations which can be used to aid the story of my event. Does not waste player time at the start of the event as I already have it planned. 3. Ship Destruction Tool: Gives a greater immersive experience for the players and their actions during an event as it gives opportunity to destroy vehicles. This is comparable to removing the prop. Are you aware of how much a Gmod server can take or how unstable Gmod truly is?: Not it's extent but I know spawning lots of props and NPCs can cause issues. Do you understand that you are not allowed to use your staff rank's powers outside of events? Provide 3 examples detailing different situations that would be considered abuse: I understand. 1. Using the toolgun to noclip myself during an event. 2. Giving other troopers EC characters for them to RDM other players with. 3. Using the tool and phys guns on players without a valid event reason. Do you have any event experience? e.g. played a key character in an event before: I've played ECs multiple times. On the Imperial server, I have played characters for the regiment as well as an EC for an event. On a scale of 1-10, how much knowledge of the Imperial Era do you have? 6 On a scale of 1-10, how familiar are you with ulx commands? 1 Make a comment regarding the recent events on our server and how they have inspired you to become an event master: I enjoy the story aspect of the events recently. I have thinking up story opportunities of my own and I believe it would be easier to be an EM rather than ask current EMs. Do you understand that most events rely mainly on improvisation and mainly nothing goes to plan (ever)? Yes. I will attempt to have a plan organised for the events I make with contingencies thought of for the possible endings which could occur. To minimise the risk, I will attempt to make the event story clear to ensure the players have a direction to go to, with little reason to divert from it. How confident are you in providing briefings, debriefings, and in ensuring you're able to direct players throughout your events? Quite confident. I'm not too good at public speaking but I can deal with it. An event doesn't go to plan and Kanan Jarrus is crushed by an elevator. Players are laughing at you. What do you do? Play it off that he was injured, not killed. Improvise that the Rebels need to go rescue him. For the players, I would ignore them and play it off as it was intentionally. A user is bad mouthing your events. How do you react? Ignore it. They have an opinion which is fine. I will talk with the person after the event about what they didn't like and what they would have liked for the event instead. Use the feedback to better myself. If the person is truly annoying the community while they are trying to play the event, I would ask a Moderator to gag them until the event is over. Preferably don't do this as it puts a bad name on me. You have to go AFK in the middle of an event you are running and there are no backups available. What should you have done to avoid this? Ensure I have no prearranged plans with the irl activities. If something does come up shortly before my event, I rearrange the event time and let the Staff team know of my situation. Players and a few staff members are complaining about the amount of lag they're dealing with during your event. How do you resolve this? Start to delete some of the useless props on the map which I spawned. Reduce the amount of NPCs I spawn. To conclude your app. you are required to create and design your own event. This includes planets, maps and stage actions. Include lots of detail in your event design. You are required to involve PassiveRP elements. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1glHRunG-jQ7LsXn0J9zX605vBQAcArmnHjhcchY0A-4/edit?usp=sharing
