  1. Do you have Teamspeak 3 installed? Yes Are you willing to test your stress? Yes What is your age? (Minimum of 14 years of age.) 24 List your current playtime (in hours) on our Imperial RP server: 78 Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? Yes Do you have any active warns? No Do you have any problems with any of our current staff members? No Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:418358787 Steam Profile Link: https://www.gatewaygaming.net.au/forums/index.php?app=core&module=system&controller=redirect&url=https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198796983302/&key=8ed98ab537d5955d8c6de1c210377e54b4783c44cddbd5ff945b233b1da0bbad&resource= Current in-game alias/rank: Senior Chief Lockheed Martin Previous Notable Names/Ranks/Positions N/A How known are you on a scale of 1-10? 5 How will you bring new and creative event ideas to the server?: I have a keen interest in star wars lore so events will be based in the universe with a bit of creative freedom. I like involving the players by having a campaign spread across a duration so as to retain interest in the players. I beleive in offering the playerbase a choice about what events they want to tackle and allow them to vote for what event they wish to do. I also plan on having events such as one life events, campaign progression depending on wether the previous mission was a success or not . Have you participated in many of our Events?: Yes I have participated in a multitude of events . I have been through enough events to understand the progression that is needed not just during the event but if it is turned into a campaign as well. I have witnessed server lags as well and know how it irritates players so I know to focus on that point as well. I have seen the importance of ensuring all players have something to do or else boredom sets in Are you familiar with Gmod's wide range of NPC tools? (Provide examples): I am not very well versed but I am open to learning. However I do know a few basic tools NPC No target- Most useful tool as it ensures you dont get killed by your own NPC's NPC Profeciency- Changes the NPC accuracy to make them either very accurate or miss a couple of shots NPC Health, Changes the health of the NPC's to make them easier to harder to kill Name 3 tools that are at an Event Masters disposal within events and leave a small comment detailing each of their uses: Vanilla Hyperspace tool- Allows to gyperspace in NPC ships with AI so that they fly around and target the craft of others. You can enable the LFS ships to have AI so that they can fly around and target players. You can also use it to jump in and out larger capital ships to the map Teleporter- Allows to set up a fast travel point between 2 points so that if a player respawns they can rejoin the action immediately. It also allows you two add elements such as gaops or tunnels to rp with, meaning you can place one teleporter point near a tunnel/hole and another near the next point/objective and it will be as if the players are entering a new area Tool gun spawning- Can be used to spawn in NPC's at a faster rate by selecting spawn using toolgun instead of accessing the Q menu to spawn an individual one. Best used when combined with drop pods to allow it to seem as if they are spawning rapidly from inside the pod Are you aware of how much a Gmod server can take or how unstable Gmod truly is?: I have seen my fair share of server crashes and lag moments to know that GMOD is anything but stable Do you understand that you are not allowed to use your staff rank's powers outside of events? Provide 3 examples detailing different situations that would be considered abuse: Using physgun to throw players about or to kill/injure them. Utilizing the physgun to pick players up and freeze them or fly up to a height and drop them. The physgun should be used for prop movement only. However, that doesnt mean using the physgun and ramming a prop into players Using noclip and no target to fly about in another persons event and cause distractions or try and gain more kills by god modding yourself. Also we cannot use noclip to get into areas that in character we are not allowed to access. No using noclip to go and open doors, brig cells or press base alarms. Do not use no clip to escape punishment Spawning in weapons for yourself that are not part of your loadout or using weapons that are powerful and can instantly kill players. Do not spawn weapons for other players as well unless the EM hosting the event has allowed to do so. Even in that situation let the leading EM hand out weapons unless they specifically request you to hand them out Do you have any event experience? e.g. played a key character in an event before: Negative on this server, but I have experience in being an EC on CWRP. I understand that it is a different era and experience On a scale of 1-10, how much knowledge of the Imperial Era do you have? 8 On a scale of 1-10, how familiar are you with ulx commands? 5 Make a comment regarding the recent events on our server and how they have inspired you to become an event master: A recent event that took place had a build up that went for over two days. There was elements of passive RP and it kept the server involved during non-event times. The EM then shaped the final event to go according to what intel had been found and what was known by the troops. On the ground, troops could be surprised by different terrain or layouts as they had not gotten the intel for it. All the regiments that took part had something or the other to do which ensured that boredom did not set in. After the event it was clear that a good EM can biuld up the event days in advance and have the players engrossed without just spamming NPC's and having players shoot them. I personally like a good story and the effort put into the event wanted me to apply for the team Do you understand that most events rely mainly on improvisation and mainly nothing goes to plan (ever)? Yes, events have a skeleton and the EM has to flesh it out depending on how the players go about the event How confident are you in providing briefings, debriefings, and in ensuring you're able to direct players throughout your events? I am confident to provide briefings and give set directions to players An event doesn't go to plan and Kanan Jarrus is crushed by an elevator. Players are laughing at you. What do you do? I will ignore the laughter and tell the EC to respawn, I will set him up in a different area and tell him to fly his ship out of the area and communicate over comms that the kanan has escaped. Other options include saying it was a illusion or stating that kana was injured but was able to escape. If needed, have the EC spawn elsewhere and show him in combat to reinforcee the idea he isnt dead. During mission debrief I can go over the event and confirm that he did infact survive and had left the system. If in case the players still bring it up after that I shall leave it as it is amusing for them in a way and they can have that memory of an EC getting crushed by an elevator. A user is bad mouthing your events. How do you react? Ignore the person while the event is ongoing. Once the event is over as for feedback. If the feedback is constructive and can be acted upon, take it into consideration and act on it. If it isnt something that can be worked on and the player is just abusive, ignore him and move on. If in case the matter escalates, ask him to provide feedback you can work on. If they still remain abusive bring it to the attention of the staff. Criticism is a necessary aspect of being an EM as it allows you to develop more and ensure your events are inclusive. I would rather receive negative feedback that is constructive than just +1 with no reasoning. However, if the person is just badmouthing without giving any valuable feedback that can be built on, it is best just to apologize that they didnt enjoy it and move on to tthose who would provide some reasoning. You have to go AFK in the middle of an event you are running and there are no backups available. What should you have done to avoid this? Ensured that I had no other commitments at the time beforehand. If it was an unforseen circumstance, I should still have had a backup EM who knew the ins and outs of the event to support me just in case such a situation arose. IRL responsibilities can hit at anytime, so having a backup plan is essential. All events should have a backup EM that can either do your event or can do their own one. Ensure that the EM team is well versed about your event so if in case you face any issues mid event, they can quickly step in and assist. Having a brief doc about said event can help so others can refer to it. Always be in TS so if needed you can talk to other EM's immediately if there is an issue. Players and a few staff members are complaining about the amount of lag they're dealing with during your event. How do you resolve this? Remove any ragdolls and props not in use at the moment, Reduce the amount of NPC's being spawned. If I have prespawned NPC's ahead, remove them till the players move up. Prior to the event ensure that a lot of props are not going to be used to avoid lag in the first place. Before the event, the EM can test the lag the props will create by testing it in the event server or in singleplayer to assess the extent of lag it will generate. Having prepped beforehand will allow for lag to be kept to a minimum. If in case the server is lagging inspite of the previous steps, minimise the operaion area so that the server doesnt get overloaded. To conclude your app. you are required to create and design your own event. This includes planets, maps and stage actions. Include lots of detail in your event design. You are required to involve PassiveRP elements. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QCYjnJtpJ3khd9jqNPQPbuYwG8nyGouc2HjsPzoRmd4/edit?usp=sharing
  2. Thank you for the feedback. I know that the playercount is larger and i hope to share some of my storyline events with the playerbase on this server. The current EM team has been very helpful in answering my questions so hopefully i can adjust to the larger playerbase much faster with their help
  3. Thank you for your reply and feedback. I have started hopping onto teamspeak and trying to get to know the EM staff a bit. Will follow your advice and try to expand my presence on teamspeak a bit more.

The event had an established storyline with a lot of passive rp to compliment the more combative parts of the event. At no stage was any player bored and all players were involved. The event was almost cinematic and felt like a wonderful experience to have been involved in that. Event was hosted by pluto. One of the main reasons I wanted to become an EM was to share my interest and abilitiy in constructing storylines that will turn to campaigns that can last over a month or two, slowly introducing the playerbase to a antagonist that they have to work their way up to catch. I liked the mixture of passive and active elements in a lot of the events that happened but felt a bit disconnected cause there didnt seem to be a direction to the events sometimes. It feels like a show up and shhot session though that has its own charms as well. Do you understand that most events rely mainly on improvisation and mainly nothing goes to plan (ever)? 8. # ... Entering alias # ... Alias accepted # ... Enter secret # ... Secret enabled # ... Access granted to Jedi Archives GENERAL INFORMATION Full Name: Amerilia Byer Known Alias’/Nicknames: Amby Previous Occupation: N/A Current Occupation: Jedi Padawan Known Languages: Galactic Basic, Sy Bisti Hobbies: Poetry, Flying and Literature Alignment: Light PSYCHOLOGICAL INFORMATION Mental State: Balanced Mental Disabilities: N/A Likes: Reading, Flying and Studying Dislikes: Arrogance, Lack of knowledge Personality: Amby would rather spend time in the archives learning about the order than being on a battle-field. Though very soft-spoken, she has a vast array of knowledge and experience when it comes to negotiations. Prefers to spend time alone rather than mingling with others in fear of forming another attachment. PHYSICAL INFORMATION Physical State: Fit Age: 21 Weight: 58 kg Height: 172 cm Build: light Disabilities: None Appearance: Human Female with dark hair and average height and build JEDI INFORMATION Rank: Padawan Master (current or previous): N/A Lightsaber details: Single saber with basic hilt Combat style: Defensive BACKSTORY Youth:- Amerilia was born on the planet of Batuu. From a young age, she learnt the skills and craft necessary to survive on a trading planet near the unknown regions. She discovered she was different when she was able to persuade a local shopkeep to sell her some food at a lowered price, almost as if she had persuaded him to do so. One day, during a violent storm on the planet, with debris flying all over, she was about to be hit by a piece of debris when somehow, she managed to stop it midair. It was as if her hands were magical and had protected her. This act was felt by a Jedi nearby who investigated further. He passed on a message to Coruscant saying a force sensitive beign was found on Batuu. The jedi soon came along and took her in to be trained as a jedi. This encounter exposed the young girl to the vast galaxy that was there to be explored. It took some time for the young Amerilia to learn Aubreesh and Galactic basic, but soon she was able understand the language of the core worlds and the language of the unkown regions and use it to her advantage. Initiate:- As an initiate Amerilia spent most of her time either in the archives studying about the order and the galaxy or listening to senate debates. This allowed her to hone in on her skills of trade negotiations and diplomatic relationships. Finally old enough to fly, Amerilia would spend as much time as she could learning how to fly various aircraft in a simulated setting. Amerilia would pester any jedi she could to take her to meet diplomats and other Republic representatives to learn about how a galaxy this vast can work in such cohesion. She kept up-to-date with all galactic issues and laws. The outbreak of the clone wars showed her the fragility of the galaxy. The immense pain and suffering caused by the ongoing war left a mental scar and she vowed to find ways to redolve conflict outside the battlefields. Padawan:- During her trials, it was no surprise to her that the green kyber crystal called out to her. After completing her trials, Amerilia immediately threw herself into understanding diplomacy and politics whilst also concentrating on the studies of healing. She spends her time practicing trade negotiations and other diplomatc relations to ensure that she can be ready for the day she is hopefully called up as a diplomat in the Jedi order. Till then, she focuses on the war, trying to find a way to fight it withput losing her sanity.
