Do you have Teamspeak 3 installed?
Do you enjoy helping other people?
Are you willing to test your stress?
Do you believe you're able to deal with individuals and situations in a completely unbiased manner?
Do you have any problems with any of our current staff members?
Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations?
Do you have any active warns?
How will you becoming a moderator impact our community?
With previous experience as an EX Co-Owner of Inferno/Titan server, I have trained and accepted/declined over 50 applicants for the role of moderator. With this previous experience, I feel I can provide the community with unbiased and smooth moderating. Being well known on the server I find I am easy to reach out to and easy to befriend.
Being a fast learner I will be able to take on new skills, learn new commands, and understand how to breakdown situations that I don't yet understand. Being very active on the server I would be able to complete countless tasks throughout the day and keep players on the server happy by completing tickets professionally and swiftly.
Do you understand that as a member of the Staff Team, your position may be subject to change and / or termination should you not be performing to the degree stipulated? Do you also understand that a staff role is one that comes with the expectation of commiting time to helping the users of the server (Up to 20 hours a week)?
I fully understand along with understanding the activity requirement.
Legend Ulx Command Players Name Warn/Ban Reason Duration of Ban
A user is RDMing and insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do?
I would accept the ticket and move to an area on the map where I won't be interrupted for a staff sit. I would then bring the offender using !bring @ Victim. If the offender proceeds to run off I would freeze them with the physgun. I would begin to explain that there has been a report of him/her randomly killing someone which is against the rules of the server. While the offender proceeds to give their side of the story I would pull logs up to confirm the RDM by chance it was a false report. If the log shows the death of another player by his hand then I would note the offender's story and tell him I am going to bring the victim to hear his side of the story which will provide me with all the information I require. I would !return @ the offender and !bring @ Victim the victim and ask them if they were killed randomly and if they confirm and their story ticks off the acts of RDM then I would !return @ the victim and !bring @ Offender the offender and tell them that the victim did say they were RDM'd which goes against the rules of the server and that the log shows he did kill the other player.
I would then tell them I am going to warn them. Following that, I would tell the offender that they are not to randomly kill others even outside of RP hours if the other person doesn't want to be killed. Afterward, I would "!return @ the offender then proceed to warn them using !warn @ Victim RDM and close the ticket.
A user has contested a warn you have given him and proceeds to verbally abuse you, what do you do?
I would bring the user and explain to them why I warned them, elaborating on every step I took which decided to give the warning. I would explain to the user that if they find my warning unjust that they should seek an Administrator or Senior Administrator. That way we can come together to discuss if what I did was right or wrong. If the user refuses to listen and continues to verbally abuse me I would save the footage of the user abusing me and tell them to stop or risk another warning for staff abuse. If the user continues I would continue to warn them using the !warn ^ User Staff Disrespect. If the user continues on top of all the discussion I would tell them that they risk another warning for staff disrespect which will result in a kick for three warnings. During this, I would send an Administrator the file containing the abuse and tell them that the user is on 2 warnings and they continue the abuse. With this, the User's action after the 2nd warning will either end in the third warning for more abuse and a Kick for three warnings or them seeking an Administrator to speak about the problem.
A user has threatened to DDos and take down the server. What do you do?
I would instantly screenshot the threat and follow to !ban ^ User -1 Threats of Denial of service attacking. Along with !warn ^ User *Permanent Ban* Mention of Denial of Service attacks. I would then send all relevant files including screenshots and video of the threat to a Senior Admin. I would also provide the Senior Admin with the user's profile link and ID.
A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do?
I would start with a verbal warning by telling them to end the argument because if they continue it will become a staff problem. If they continue and disrupt the debrief where the RP has stopped and is ruining RP for everyone I would move to a secluded space on the map and bring the two officers and proceed to ask them one by one their side of the story. Using their information and the story they have told me I would provide them with a solution to the problem. I would proceed to tell them that they are not to disrupt a roleplay situation like that as it involves everyone and is considered failrp. I would also tell them both that they both could be warned for disobeying staff after a warning.
I would try not to warn them since they are already in an argument and a warning can make matters worse. However, if the situation does not settle and either one of the officers continue to disobey my instruction I would warn them for disobeying staff with !warn ^ Victim Disobeying staff x2. I would do that for both officers.
A Cadet has been complaining and wandering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He doesn't appear to have any intent to role play. What do you do?
I would first move to the cadet room and bring the cadet with !bring ^ Cadet. I would proceed to tell them that they must be trained before leaving the cadet area. I would then call through /ooc /comms for a Sgt+ to come to train the cadet. If no one online is a SGT+ I would train the cadet. If they have no wish to be trained I would tell them that if you do not wish to be trained you can not play on the server. It would be considered as no intent to roleplay. If they continue to not listen I would !warn ^ Cadet No intent for roleplay. If yet again the cadet proceeds to mess around and no follow my guide I would then !bring ^ Cadet into the cadet room, physgun freeze them and tell them after multiple warnings they will be banned for a day for no intent to roleplay. In this time I would tell them that they should read over the server rules which are located on the forums. I would then !ban ^ Cadet 1440 No intent to roleplay.
