  1. The banning admin seems to have been Winter (no longer a staff member) based on your description and the last warning Admin. Overall I think you should have a second chance but if you do mess up at all I believe you shoudl go straight back to being banned. Overall +1 but on very thin ice.
  2. Do you have Teamspeak 3 installed? Yes Are you willing to test your stress? Yes What is your age? (Minimum of 14 years of age.) 18 List your current playtime: 720 Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? Yes Do you have any active warns? Nope Do you have any problems with any of our current staff members? No Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:126034588 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/xeatex Current in-game alias/rank: B-26 Previous Notable Names/Ranks/Positions Battalion Commander Shua of the 917th/Colonel Shua of the 91st/Major Rigby of the 501st/A-07 Cerberus How known are you on a scale of 1-10? 8 How will you bring new and creative event ideas to the server?: I will bring new creative and innovative events to Gateway by using my imagination and lore knowledge to craft enjoyable events that hopefully everyone enjoys, as well as looking back at past events to make new and original ideas that aren't just cookie-cutter copies of previously done events. I'll also ask current EMs and even players for feedback on how I can improve my events and how I could possibly create new event ideas that I wouldn't have been able to come up with on my own. Have you participated in many of our Events?: Many, Many events. Are you familiar with Gmod's wide range of NPC tools? (Provide examples): Proficiency tool NPC Health No target Weapon override Name 3 tools that are at an Event Masters disposal within events and leave a small comment detailing each of their uses: Turbolaser: Can be used to add aesthetics, clear out troops, ensure troops don't enter a specific area and for story-related reasons. Advanced duplicator: Allows you to save buildings and sets of props for pre-building an event or saving a layout as well as special event objectives eg. slices. Teleporter: Can be used to when troops need to travel a long distance in between deaths or need to get to special rooms that are usually impossible to get into. Are you aware of how much a Gmod server can take or how unstable Gmod truly is?: I am well aware of how unstable Gmod can be, especially with a large number of players on at one time. Do you understand that you are not allowed to abuse your staff rank's powers outside of events? Provide 3 examples detailing different situations that would be considered abuse: Going under the map and spawning NPCs to farm XP for your self. Phys gunning people randomly around the map for no reason. Spawning yourself Jedi XP or weapons that you shouldn't have access to. Do you have any event experience? e.g. played a key character in an event before: I've played multiple event characters within events and have helped out in events as a mod. On a scale of 1-10, how much lore knowledge do you have? 7 On a scale of 1-10, how familiar are you with ulx commands? 10 Make a comment regarding the recent events on our server and how they have inspired you to become an event master: It's a bit different for me than most other people, I always see great events run by the em team which are inspiring in themselves, not just how fun and smoothly the events run but the dedication the event masters show. I've been wanting to become an event master for quite a while but haven't gone for it up until now. For example some of the recent events hosted by Buck, Spoon, Andy have beenn extremely enjoyable and only makes me want to become an em more Do you understand that most events rely mainly on improvisation and mainly nothing goes to plan (ever)? Yeah, I understand and have seen this first hand. You need to be a good improviser to succeed. How confident are you in providing briefings, debriefings, and in ensuring you're able to direct players throughout your events? I am very confident in my ability to speak to the players during briefings and directing them throughout the event. An event doesn't go to plan and General Grievous is crushed by an elevator. Players are laughing at you. What do you do? I would either bring Grievous back and play it off or make something up about him using the elevator as an escape or make another story related excuse for his sudden disappearance. Either way, shrugging off the laughing players, I'm certain in 3 minutes or less they will be focused on enjoying the event again. A user is bad mouthing your events. How do you react? I would keep my cool, message them asking why they are disliking the event and to bring any feedback to me after the event, if they have genuine feedback then I would take it in, however, if they were doing it just to minge or be purposefully annoying then I would shrug it off and notify a staff member as I would be busy running the event, not wasting precious time messing around. You have to go AFK in the middle of an event you are running and there are no backups available. What should you have done to avoid this? For one I should have checked if I had any prior commitments or things I had to attend and cleared my schedule if there was anything or I simply should not have booked the event at that time. I should have also done my best to make sure there was someone available in case of an emergency and if there is nobody that can run the event for the remainder I would do my best to fastrack the event to an enjoyable ending. Players and a few staff members are complaining about the amount of lag they're dealing with during your event. How do you resolve this? I would first try to find the root of the problem, be it too many droids being spawned or too many aircraft/vehicles being used or even too many corpses just left lying on the ground. Depending on the problem I would either reduce the number of droids/enemies being spawned, reduce the number of vehicles being used, clear corpses, remove decals as well as minimizing the number of restraints and props being used in my dupes and buildings so that server performance is maximised. To conclude your app. you are required to create and design your own event. This includes planets, maps and stage actions. Include lots of detail in your event design. You are required to involve PassiveRP elements. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1y0dQZPOsiqxWMJHHWavWSbrHP9OKsw_omzpgG0CsvDU/edit?usp=sharing
  3. I Hvaent had too many interactions with you but the ones I have were good. Honestly I think you have the potential to be a good moderator, your application could use a bit more detail but for the most part its decent and nobody expects you to get everything right off the bat so it doesnt need to be perfect. Overall its a +1 from me.
  4. 5. Honestly you may not be the most known person on the server but neither was I when I became a staff member, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and give you a +1 as your application looks great and interactions I have had with you were good. Good luck
  6. I haven't really come back just to 'chill', I came back because I wanted to back into the server and have fun, and I have more fun leading than just chilling out, chilling gets boring. Also, burnout wasn't the main reason as to why I left.
  7. In-game name: Rigby/Shua In-game Rank: Warrant Officer Steam Link & ID: STEAM_0:0:126034588 Discord Name (ShuaDaddy#8383) Why you want the role, & what will make you a viable candidate: I want to become 7th CO as since I have come back to the server I've been longing to get back into a leadership position where I can help people out, especially people who are just starting out their time on the server and need some extra assistance getting into the swing of things, and I believe 7th is the perfect solution, it's a starter regiment for one which is exactly what im looking for, it will give me the opportunity to train people and take lead to build people up and giving them more opportunities for different pathways they want to take on the server. What I believe makes me viable is the fact that I have held a previous CO position and have spent quite a lot of my time in the server as an officer in the 501st legion which is also a starter regiment, which required me to train many people who were just starting out on the server and joining their first regiment, setting them up to have a great time on the server and give them the 'skills' required to join other regiments on the server, or even build them up to leadership material themselves. Overall I believe my past experience with leading my own regiment and and assisting greatly in leading the 501st legion has given me the skills and mindset I need to run 7th Sky successfully.
  8. Do you have Teamspeak 3 Installed? Yes Do you enjoy helping other people? Of course Are you willing to test your stress? Yes Age? (Minimum of 14 years of age.): 17 List your current playtime (Minimum of 80 Hours): 594 hours Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? Yes Do you have any active warns? No Do you have a problem with any of our current staff members? No Requirements: Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:126034588 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/xeatex Current in game alias / rank: Warrant Officer Rigby How known are you on a scale of 1-10 (10 being everyone knows you): 7/8 How will you becoming a moderator make an impact on the community? Since I have come back I have been very active and always willing to help, plus I have a very large amount of experience in moderation as I am an ex-head admin of a decently well known server (Collosal Gaming) and a previous Admin for Gateway clone wars RP before I left for personal reasons. I already have a vast amount of knowlege in how to properly deal with a wide variety of situations without bias, as well as how Gateway deals with situations which will allow me to help as many people as I can more efficiently which I believe will have a positive impact on the server. Ultimately this is why be becoming a moderator would make a beneficial impact on the server. Do you believe you're able to deal with individuals and situations in a completely unbiased manner? I do Do you use our Teamspeak server often? Yes, I use it every day Do you understand that as a member of the Staff Team, your position may be subject to change and / or termination should you not be performing to the degree stipulated? Yes Situations: Key: Command Punishment Rule Breakage/Offence 1. A user is RDMing and insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? I would use !administrate and fly under the map (or to another hidden part of the map out of the way of other players) and !jailtp [name] the offender and explain to him/her why he has been brought here, I would then explain to him/her why RDMing and insulting others is not acceptable on the server, after hearing his response and reasoning I would check previous logs of his actions recorded by staff members, depending on his previous record and the amount of people he has RDM'd along with the severity of the insults I would either warn them with !warn (or a different warning command if the server uses a different warn system) if it was a first time thing/it wasn't Mass RDM or if they haven't acted up in a long time, however if it was a case of Mass RDM or this person was a repeat offender it would result in them getting a ban. 2. A user has contested a warn you have given him and proceeds to verbally abuse you, what do you do? I would let him know that verbal abuse wont get him anywhere and that it may result in another warning, and as for the contest of the warning I would let him know that I am going to consult another staff member (preferably someone more senior than me) and take into account what they say and take action on it, either clearing the warn if the other staff member (more senior than me) sees it to be the right thing to do, however the warn would stay if they believe it to be a fair warning. If the player is still angry and verbally abusive I would see if I could calm him down and try have him talk to another staff member to see if that would de-escalate the situation, however if the player continues to verbally abuse me/the other staff member after the warning and attempt at calming down I would kick him with !kick [name] him for verbal abuse towards staff. 3. A user has threatened to DDos and take down the server. What do you do? If it is a legitimate threat I would alert management or senior staff such as Head Admin or Server Manager, and if I cant get a hold of either I would attempt to get in touch with a senior admin immediately, then I would bring the player and try to find out information while gathering evidence through screen recording or screenshots, as well as keeping him talking in an attempt to stall him (as he may actually be capable of a DDOS), while management/and or other senior staff decide what is to be done about the situation, however if the player is not willing to talk and insists he is going to DDOS the server I would ban the player on the spot using !ban [name] with the reason DDOS threat and then alert management. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? I would listen into the argument to get an understanding of what its about, if its part of/about debrief or the event it isnt up to staff to handle it as its an rp situation. However its an out of character argument I would pm them quickly telling them to knock it off as this isnt the time or place to argue about out of character issues and then have a chat to them after debrief is over and give them a verbal warning about how that isnt on and that people might think that its ok as they're high ranking players of the server and should be setting an example as many lower ranking or new players look up to people of a higher rank, such as Lieutenant and Commander. 5. A Cadet has been complaining and wandering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He doesn't appear to have any intent to role play. What do you do? I would apologise that nobody has come to train him yet but also let him know that he shouldnt be running around the base as a cadet as he needs to be trained first, I would then direct him back to the training area and call for a Sergeant+ to come and train him, if none are available i would just train him myself, However if he continues to show signs of not having any intent to role play I would first give him a verbal warning telling him that he cant continue acting the way he is if he wants to actually play on the server, and if he continues to mess around and minge and not wanting to rp I would ban him for an hour using !ban [name] with the description "No intent to RP" as generally if they have no intent to rp they wont bother to come back at all unless they actually want to play on the server. Yes this application is pretty similar to my old application but there isnt really anything I can change as punishments for breaking rules are still the same and I would still treat people the way as I always would.
  9. Every experience I have ever had with bobby regarding staff matters and even my interactions before I was a staff member have all been positive, from when I was a rial mod up to now hes always been there offering help where its needed. He shows great leadership capabilities which is great to see. I believe Bobby would make an excellent senior admin. +1
  10. These pacs look really nice, good job. +1
  11. I've had many interactions with Cappa and from what I've seen you show good qualities that are desireable to have as a moderator such as an always willing to help out attitude as well as being able to socialise well with other members of the server. Your activity in the past as been somewhat iffy though I know that you've been working hard to improve your activity and prover your dedication to the server. Overall you have a well written application which is a good way to show dedication, and I believe you have the qualities that can build you into a good moderator, so its a +1 from me. Good luck :).
