  1. Do you have Teamspeak 3 installed? Yes Are you willing to test your stress? Yes What is your age? (Minimum of 14 years of age.) 15 List your current playtime: 32 Are you willing to learn new ways to approach situations? Yes Do you have any active warns? No I have no warns. Do you have any problems with any of our current staff members? No Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:26965335 Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/RussetNotAPotato/ Current in-game alias/rank: Clerk Spud Shanto Previous Notable Names/Ranks/Positions One the old imperial server, Lieutenant Commander Spud Shanto How known are you on a scale of 1-10? 3 How will you bring new and creative event ideas to the server?: I have a vast knowledge on lore, especially the Imperial era. This means I can adapt this knowledge and involve it in my events. I am also somewhat of a creative person combining that with my knowledge I can create custom events that have new ideas, but still fit into the Star Wars universe. I also wish to run passive RP events to keep troopers that choose that participate interested whilst on ship as I hear that many troopers get bored, this will also benefit RP heavy roles, such as Navy, ISB and Regional Government as their RP is primarily on ship. Have you participated in many of our Events?: I have participated in a few when I am on. But being a member of Regional Government has the con that it is hard to fit us into event whilst keeping the majority of the server (troopers) engaged and actively participating in the events. Are you familiar with Gmod's wide range of NPC tools? (Provide examples): Somewhat, it has been a while. There is NPC No Target that allows an EM to selected specific players and toggle weather or not the NPC's target them. There is NPC Proficency that allows you to select what weapon an NPC uses (although not all weapons work with all NPC's), the NPC's effectiveness with its weapon, if it moves and how it moves and the NPC's HPs, this is important so you can change up how difficult the enemy is so you don't have to keep spawning thousands of hostiles lagging the server more so than it already is. (Not sure if you will consider it an NPC) LFS airstrips, they are runways that you select what type of LFS aircraft, it HP, if efficiency and team, that automatically spawns in aircraft in a set timer until it reaches the set maximum and will ensure it stays at that maximum. Name 3 tools that are at an Event Masters disposal within events and leave a small comment detailing each of their uses: Advance Duplicator 2 - Allows a player to spawn in already made props and structures. Really good for EM's as it allows you to build what you want on the event map before you run the event so players aren't waiting around for you to build. Portals (Not sure if that's the correct name) - Allows users to place down 2 gates that are connected, this allows player to sue these gates to go from point A to point B with the click of a button. Very useful if your spawn point is far away for where the event is running. Vanilla's Hyperspace tool - Allows user to spawn in a ship and make it seem as though it is coming out of hyperspace by using audio and visual effects. This is extremely useful for an EM as it adds immersion for players. Are you aware of how much a Gmod server can take or how unstable Gmod truly is?: Yes, Gmod is extremely unstable and all it takes is for a few too many NPCs or explosion to crash the server. And it doesn't take much for Gmod to start lagging either. Do you understand that you are not allowed to use your staff rank's powers outside of events? Provide 3 examples detailing different situations that would be considered abuse: Nocliping to get around the ship faster or to avoid a punishment of any sort. Cloaking yourself or anyone else to get into a place they shouldn't be or too "spy" on other players. Giving yourself or anyone other player and tools, sweeps or weapons. Do you have any event experience? e.g. played a key character in an event before: Yes I was a Junior Event Master on the Imperial server in 2019 before it got shut down. Although it has been a long time so I have forgotten some specifics although it will come back. On a scale of 1-10, how much knowledge of the Imperial Era do you have? 8 On a scale of 1-10, how familiar are you with ulx commands? 7 Make a comment regarding the recent events on our server and how they have inspired you to become an event master: The high quality of events that are being run leading to the enjoyment of players during events and the participation of players during events. It's really good to see and it makes it way more enjoyable for Event Masters and that leads to even better events. I have also noticed there have been some really cool passive RP parts of events, that help get regiments like Navy involved and I really enjoy that sort of RP (hence why I am in Reg Gov) and I see that as a really good starting point that I could perhaps expand and build some of my own events off. Do you understand that most events rely mainly on improvisation and mainly nothing goes to plan (ever)? Yes, where would the fun be if everything went smoothly and too plan. But in all seriousness I enjoy improvisation and have some skills in it after all I am a youth volunteer at real life events for First Aid. How confident are you in providing briefings, debriefings, and in ensuring you're able to direct players throughout your events? I am confident. I have skills in public speaking with scripts or notes, having done hours of training for that as I was going to a national competition in 2020. I am also confident in giving instructions, once again something due to that same competition. An event doesn't go to plan and Kanan Jarrus is crushed by an elevator. Players are laughing at you. What do you do? I would respawn Kanan close by. Then comms in " He used his Jedi magic you fools now he's getting away, catch him." A user is bad mouthing your events. How do you react? I would ask them how I could make my events better, as there is a good chance something is wrong with my events and perhaps other players are also bothered by it, but aren't talking about it. If they have nothing to say, then I will ignore them. You have to go AFK in the middle of an event you are running and there are no backups available. What should you have done to avoid this? You should always ensure that there is nothing that could interrupt you during the event and about half an hour after the event should end. You should also a have a back up available in the case something somehow happens and you need to go. Players and a few staff members are complaining about the amount of lag they're dealing with during your event. How do you resolve this? You can remove props and limit the amount of NPC's. You could also clean the map using ULX. To conclude your app. you are required to create and design your own event. This includes planets, maps and stage actions. Include lots of detail in your event design. You are required to involve PassiveRP elements. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EAKFwrtzkNguxC0mXYzMrRLgyE9qS0pDzn2K2cKFrzo/edit?usp=sharing
