How will you becoming a moderator make an impact on the community? I'll put in my best efforts to assist in moderating the CW GG server to make the server enjoyable to all that play on it so that everyone has the best time possible. Do you believe you're able to deal with individuals and situations in a completely unbiased manner? I do believe that i am capable in doing such no matter who is in question as being biased would bring a bad name to myself and ruin the experience for those that would be affected by it. Do you use our Teamspeak server often? I use the teamspeak server only when asked to join as i personally prefer to use the game chat. But i do not have a problem in using the server if i have to Do you understand that as a member of the Staff Team, your position may be subject to change and / or termination should you not be performing to the degree stipulated? Yes i understand this as it would be accustomed to any position of power and hopefully i will keep up to standards that are currently set for GG Situations: Key: Commands Text Rank Side Note 1. A user is RDMing and insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do? Firstly i would access /logs to obtain the needed information in order to handle the current situation that has taken place. once done so, i shall go to secluded place to then !bring player in question to me to where i will question him to gather the needed information needed to resolve the situation. If it isn't enough i shall bring the victim/ticket writer to the secluded area to gather his side of the story to ensure the /logs add up and to know what 'insults' were said towards him. Depending on how severe the issue is i would result the problem in either a !warn [player] "reason" or a !ban [player] if its a multiple time offender. If the player has not had the rules explained to him before and i feel as if he is telling the truth, I shall run the rules through with him to ensure an incident of such does not happen again and result the incident it in a !warn [player]. Once resolved !return [player] to the victim (if brought into question) and the offender. 2. A user has contested a warn you have given him and proceeds to verbally abuse you, what do you do? I shall see what the offender has to say about the warn that i have given him even if he is verbal abusing me throughout his verbal appeal. i shall then explain to the offender the reasoning of why i had given him the !warn [player] "reason" in the first place and that if he continues to use offensive language towards me then i will have to issue him another !warn [player] "reason" as a result in abusive language to staff. if they continue to use abusive language towards me then i would issue them another !warn [player] "reason" for his continued language towards me. after it has been resolved i would then !return [player] to there last location. 3. A user has threatened to DDos and take down the server. What do you do? I will go to a Secluded area on the map where there are no other players around then !bring [player] that is in question to me. Then i shall simply ask "Why are you threatening to DDos the server?" or "Someone has informed me that you said you would DDos the server?" in a non aggressive manner as i don't want to aggravate them and make the situation any worse then it already is. If they simply apologise for there actions and i feel as if they are telling the truth and what they say is meaningful then i will simply !return [player]. Depending on the scenario and how serious a !warn [player] "reason" will be given out. If the player in question doesn't settle down and continues threatening to DDos then i would be forced to !ban [player] permanently "Threatening to DDos Server.". I will provide screenshots and if i can recording of proof of the situation, then send the incident to a higher up on the server. 4. A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do? I would firstly go to secluded area where no other player is. then !bring [player] to both the Lieutenant and the Commander and explain to them that there heated arguing isn't acceptable in a public matter in front of other fellow players as they should be setting an example to everyone on the server and not be arguing with one another as its a bad look on not only themselves but also GG as they are High ranking officers who should be setting positive examples to the GG community. I shall then simple ask them to calm down and stop there argument, or at least resolve it in a civilised matter where it wont become heated whether in game or on another platform such as Teamspeak or Discord with no one around. if agreed upon by both parties then i shall !return [player] to the both of them. If they continue i shall issue the ones that continue the argument a !warn [player] "reason" as they haven't listened to what i had to say. If one another continues then i will have say something along the line of "It's clear that the two of you can't/wont resolve this issue later on or in a civilised manner so i'm going to have to give you guys time to cool off as neither/one of you isn't isn't being mature and civilised about the incident and in this state you will continue to set bad examples to other users on GG.". I will then issue a !ban [player] 1hr "Verbal abuse" to either both or one of them depending who is still being aggressive. 5. A Cadet has been complaining and wandering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He doesn't appear to have any intent to role play. What do you do? I would !bring [player] to the cadet room where he should stay until further trained in becoming a Private Where i will inform them that. "Unless instructed to or accompanied by a trainer, you aren't permitted to leave the cadet room." If there is no one one training them then i will "/ooc Can a SGT+ please report to the Cadet room to train this cadet." if no one confirms to come down or confirms to be on there way in a certain matter of time, i will have to send out "/ooc If a SGT+ plus doesn't come down to the cadet room one will be picked at random to train the Cadet." If no one has arrived then i will issue a !bring [player] to a SGT+ that hasn't told me they are currently unavailable the cadet room where they will be asked to train the cadet. If there are no SGT+'s online then i will train the cadet myself. if at any point in the cadets training i feel he has no content to RP then i will give him a verbal warning and that if he doesn't intend to RP then please leave the server. if this continues and they don't follow my advice i will issue a !ban player 1day "No intent to RP". To give them plenty of time to think about there actions and hopefully reconsider and join the GG community First time going for a staff position which i felt like id be capable of combating as i feel it'll add to my experience on GG and Gmod in general.
