Steam Name: nebula♡
Steam ID: https://steamcommunity.com/id/NebulaSaysHi/
In game alias: Nebula
Time Played: 542.3 Hours.
How will you bring new and creative event ideas to the server?:
I would be able to incorporate alot of passiveRP before and during events to make it alot more interactive and entertaining for people who like passiveRP while at the same time adding features that I dont really see alot such as adding obstacles in the pathway for e.g; a fallen tree, destroyed LAATs but not to the point where its excessive amounts of obstacles.
Have you participated in many of our Events?:
For the past Six-ish months I have played, I believe that I have played MANY events, to a point where I played 3 events a day for 2 months straight.
Are you familiar with Gmod's wide range of NPC tools?:
Fairly familiar, but not to the point where I know everything.
Name 3 tools that are at an Event Masters disposal within events and leave a small comment detailing each of their uses:
NPC Proficiency: This tool allows you to access the accuracy of the NPC's you spawn, varying from; Poor, Average, Good, Very Good and Perfect.
NPC Notarget: If you Right Click the ground it enables Notarget so NPC's stop firing at you, practically making you invisible to them.
NPC Health: NPC Health makes it so that you can change the NPC's HP to an amount you desire, going from 1 to 5,000.
Are you aware of how much a Gmod server can take or how unstable Gmod truly is?:
Yes I am very aware how unstable Gmod is as it is over 10 years old.
Do you understand that you are not allowed to abuse your ULX rank outside of events? Provide 3 examples detailing different situations that would be considered abuse:
Yes I understand that I am not allowed to abuse ULX outside of events and shouldn't even get the idea of abusing it.
Example 1: Doing !goto (Player) Just to get around the map faster because you're too lazy or if you're going to be late for briefing and want to make it on time.
Example 2: Giving yourself or someone else an overpowered weapon thats not in their kit and adding HP for no reason.
Example 3: Physic gunning people for no reason at all thinking that its funny.
Do you have any event experience? e.g. played a key character in an event before:
Yes, I have played as a Hostage, Slave, A defective Captain. They all had to do Passive RP, I really enjoyed it.
On a scale of 1-10, how much lore knowledge do you have?:
7 to 8
On a scale of 1-10, how familiar are you with ulx commands?:
6 to 7
Make a comment regarding the recent events on our server and how they have inspired you to become an event master:
To be fair, many of the recent events have actually been enjoyable and entertaining especially when we get to do PassiveRP, which inspired me to become an EM because during their events its really entertaining and I just want to do the same, making events that people enjoy and can do RP, and just have good fun with their Squads, Friends etc.
Do you understand that most events rely mainly on improvisation and mainly nothing goes to plan (ever)?:
Not necessarily because Improvisation can just result into stress and panic so my idea is just to make events that can go in different ways to prevent stress and the events going of the rails.
How confident are you in providing briefings, debriefings, and in ensuring you're able to direct players throughout your events?:
Previously being a Warrant Officer and a CO of a Sub Company I feel confident that I can provide briefings and debriefings to ensure players get the right idea.
1. An event doesn't go to plan and General Grievous is crushed by an elevator. Players are laughing at you. What do you do?
I would comms in to everyone that General Grievous has escaped through the elevator shafts and spawn his ship down where there are no troopers, !bring (General Grivous) to his ship and make him fly off so the troopers can seem him escaping since he is a lore character and cannot be PK'd.
2. A user is bad mouthing your events. How do you react?
If the user was bad mouthing during the event, I would ignore it until after and then I would pm him asking why it was bad and getting any constructive criticism I can get because there is always room for improvements and you cant always please everyone.
3. You have to go AFK in the middle of an event you are running and there are no backups available. What should you have done to avoid this?
I would've made sure a couple days prior before the event that I was 100% available.
4. Players and a few staff members are complaining about the amount of lag they're dealing with during your event. How do you resolve this?
I would delete any drop pods that have been left over and ask in admin chat to help remove any drop pods that are remaining if im not doing it. I would also spawn less drop pods, spawn in less NPC's and possibly end the event earlier. However it is depending on how severe the server is chugging.
To conclude your app. you are required to create and design your own event. This includes planets, maps and stage actions. Include lots of detail in your event design. You are required to involve PassiveRP elements.
EC's: 3x BX Droids (Snipers, 1x Life)
Get All EC's into TS channel.
Change Model and Name.
Spawn Ship for myself and ask ATC to land (Adding PassiveRP)
Spawn 3x LAATs in the middle of the air strip, then place the Witchcraft on the right landing pad. (Freeze them all)
!orders Troopers, report to Briefing Room for Mission Briefing!
"Hello, you may have not met me before but I am one of your new Advisors. Anyway, lets move onto the mission. One of our Outpost's has gone quiet and we haven't had any contact with them for over a week. Our mission is to head to the base and locate any troopers and find out what has happened. Board up troopers, be careful out there."
Wait for all the LAATs to take off then change the map to event_outpost-b1.
Event Setting Up:
I would tell the EC's to switch to their EC, !bring them to their tactical positions, set their hp to 1,000, explain to them the rules of being a sniper if they dont know it.
Begin setting up all the dead Clone troopers and Navy.
Place the destroyed LAATs and scatter the Resources around the vehicles.
Set up the data room so the troopers can extract an CIS data they can get.
Comms in "/comms [Republic>Outpost] Hello? This is Junior Advisor 1384/42 Aluben, do you copy?" then no one will respond.
Planet side Briefing: "Troopers, I have attempted to contact the Outpost again, and I still have no response. You are to move out and find out any left overs or any suspicious activities around the area, move out."
Event: The troopers will follow the pathway, however unexpectedly they get ambushed by the CIS Snipers. Then the B1 drop pods drop down. Thus slowing the troopers down from following the pathway. After they clear out all the B1 droids, B2 drop pods will be spawned in, then after they clear that wave they are stopped by 2 LAAT's blocking off the pathway. There are resources scattered around the ground and dead CT's, the Medics can see what and how and what they were killed by. They have to work together to push one of the two LAATs out of the way or the Jedi could use their force ability (RP) to force move it out of the way. The troopers with the resources would take it with them until they reach the outpost. Thus meaning CG and/or any other body guard regiments have to prioritise them until they reach the Landing Zone. Once the troopers have reached the outpost, the will sweep all the floors filled with B1's and B2's. Some of the floors will be filled with dead CT's, once again meaning that Medic's can do medical RP reporting in on what killed them etc. The top floor is the data room. Containing valuable CIS information that the Republic could use against the CIS. They would use the new slicing technique that they have been taught. After completing the slice, CIS reinforcements would come containing, BX droids and B2's. During the battle I would call in Republic reinforcements so that when the LAATs arrive CT NPC's will spawn and the user's with the resources can RP put it on the LAAT. Once the data has been obtained and extracted to me and the resource are on the LAATs, they would take off.
Change map to rp_anaxes.
!order Report to Briefing Room for Mission Debrief!
Debrief: "Very Good work out there Troopers, we now have valuable CIS intel we can use against the Seperatist Scum, this will give us a head up on them. We also have our resources back, providing us more food and ammunition. Job well done, let's move onto placements."
The Event Ends.
I then head to the Airstrip, spawn in my ship, ask ATC to take off.
Change to my main slot and change name.
I hope you enjoyed reading my Trial EM Application, please feel free to give me any feedback or comments. Its much appreciated
