No I do not any active warn.
How will you becoming a moderator impact our community?
I've been around the community since April now and I want to be able to help out a bit more. I want to be able to do more for the Jedi like giving out XP and whitelisting youngling to padawan after completing a gathering. I also want to help out with The Trooper side of things given out them tools, whitelisting and vehicles. I’m also the occupation manager and I want to make more mini events.
Do you understand that as a member of the Staff Team, your position may be subject to change and / or termination should you not be performing to the degree stipulated? Do you also understand that a staff role is one that comes with the expectation of commiting time to helping the users of the server (Up to 20 hours a week)?
A user is RDMing and insulting other users. You are the only staff available to deal with the situation. What do you do?
I would !gag or !mute if the user is using his microphone or chatbox to prevent him from insulting any other users and would immediately !jailtp the user to a secluded location to prevent him from killing anyone else. I would then check /logs to confirm the whole situation that the user indeed RDMed people. If the logs would then show the user shot multiple people intentionally then I inform the user of what rules he did break and how it can be prevented in the future and then I would proceed to !warn [RDMx1|Player Abuse] proceeding a !return after the warn has been given.
If there is insufficient evidence that the user did not RDM anyone, I would apologize to the user for my mistakes and I would evidently !return the user.
A user has contested a warn you have given him and proceeds to verbally abuse you, what do you do?
If a user is contesting his warn that I have given and proceeds to verbally abuse me, I would politely tell him to calm down before continuing the conversation. I would !gag the user if he does not stop verbally abusing me untill he is completely relaxed. When the user is ready to talk, I would !bring him to a secluded location while informing a senior staff to watch the sit for a second opinion.
Situation A: If the user has sufficient evidence to prove that his warn was not justified, I would immediately apologize for my incompetence as a staff member and would have the senior staff or myself remove the warn.
Situation B: If the user does not have sufficient evidence to prove that the warn was not justified, I would inform the user that the warn will stay and ask him to dispute the warn on the forums.
A user has threatened to DDos and take down the server. What do you do?
I would inform a senior staff member regarding the threats of DDos from the user and would immediately !ban [Threatening to DDos|Appeal on the forums] the user permanently from the server.
A Commander and Lieutenant are arguing in front of debrief. It is getting quite heated. The context to the argument is unknown to you. What do you do?
In my opinion, having a loud argument in debrief is extremely disrespectful to the person which is conducting the debrief itself. I would tell both the Commander and Lieutenant to calm down and to stop arguing in debrief. If both sides still would not stop, I would then have them brought to a secluded location by doing !administrate and then have them !bring (both users) and have both in !gag or !mute while asking both users to calm down to have a civil conversation. To prevent any interruptions, I would have one either !gag or !mute while the other explains his part of the story, and vice versa. I would evidently try to solve the matter peacefully for both sides so that at least they wouldn’t argue in debrief anymore. After the matter has been resolved I would !return both users.
A Cadet has been complaining and wandering around because he hasn't been trained yet. He doesn't appear to have any intent to role play. What do you do?
I would firstly !bring “cadet” to the cadet training room, if the cadet responds well, and wants to be trained, I would have a SGT train him up whilst being watched by me in !administrate. If the cadet has been whitelisted by the SGT to unassigned, then I would leave the training room.
If the cadet does not respond and continues to minge, I would give them a verbal warning to stop, and let the SGT train him. If he would continue minge after being warned, I would then tell him why he is being warned and then I would proceed to give him an actual !warn [NITRP|Failure of obey staff]. If the cadet continues to minge after being warned, I would then freeze the cadet, tell him why he is warned again, and tell him he is also being banned for 3 days. After telling the cadet, I would then proceed to !ban “User” “4320m”
